I followed this story because it was so tragic, but wasn't expecting that 😪

The three sisters, seen as teenagers, and their father sit together at a restaurant table, from left to right, Jane Adetoro, Joseph, Christina Walters and Rebecca Walters.

Gosh, sorry yes that's a poor mistake and you can't edit a title.

hmm. That just doesn’t sit quite right.

Totaldramallama · 08/10/2026 12:24

I just read this. Absolutely bizarre situation, I cannot fathom what would lead to this happening. How terrible

Crowsinarow · 08/10/2026 12:24

But how do they know, it seems it is just a guess..?

Busybookworm · 08/10/2026 12:25

Terribly sad that it mentions their mother having also drowned previously. That poor family!

Perhaps they left suicide notes or something.

MrsBennetsPoorNervesAreBack · 08/10/2026 12:25

Tragic story.

You think someone murdered them? It’s a novel way to go about it, I’ll give you that.

HobgoblinNorFoulFiend · 08/10/2026 12:28

I thought it was hinted fairly heavily in the reporting at the time? It’s certainly the impression I had. Desperately sad, in any case.

FallingfortheUnderdog · 08/10/2026 12:31

It's terribly sad but that's what I assumed had happened

Evidence from the internet searches

Very tragic.

Seemingly they had researched suicide, drownings and places to drown. They had also emptied the flat of personal effects and closed their bank accounts.

corlan · 08/10/2026 12:32

It's really tragic. There have been other high profile cases where children brought about their deaths the same way their parent died. I'm thinking of Whitney Spears and Paula Yates.

Really? I can't imagine a situation where all three thought that was the best/only thing to do 😪

If you read the article, you will see that one of the sisters had researched suicide and water extensively on her laptop.

You can report your own post the dots at the top an MN might edit it for you.

I saw on the news, what an absolute tragedy 😢

I did read the article but I missed that bit. I see now that they searched their computers. Thanks..

Well if you read I’ve already answered this. Why being so nasty?

Why? Whst do you think a more feasible explanation would be?

runnerducky · 08/10/2026 12:40

Twin sisters in Aberdeen did the same thing last year. Very sad.
