A chat thread for those who don't like this Labour government. 💙

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

Finally the media are putting some effort into this. We have serious issues ahead with diesel. The UK only has 42 days reserve which is much lower than other countries. We also have very few refineries left.

John Healey said "we have the stocks we need" of diesel and that trade discussions with the US were "continuous", as the prospect of an export ban looms.
I don't believe him.

I don't believe him either. With official power cut and water cut warnings why would anyone

In the usually sleepy agricultural area of southern Italy where I have family, farmers now going all French and blockading roads to the airport to protest against the cost of deisel.
Meanwhile in France, someone sent me this summary:
More than 600 arrested.
85 police and gendarmes wounded.
356 schools hit.
Masked rioters have torched schools, doused teachers in petrol and forced staff to barricade themselves inside.
In Nantes, the entrance hall of Nelson Mandela High School was burned out.
In Marseille, staff at Victor Hugo High were doused with petrol during an arson attempt.
Youths in balaclavas battered a fire engine until it caught fire.
Then cheered.
A headteacher was hit by a mortar firework and taken to hospital.
Shocking footage shows a policewoman chased and attacked.
Aerosol cans were piled up and detonated on one of Europe’s longest shopping streets in Bordeaux.
Buses, trams and metros have been shut in Marseille, Strasbourg and Grenoble.
The riots came after the left-wing mayor of Saint-Denis, Bally Bagayoko, declared that “violence can be legitimate.”
Yeah we should rejoin the EU… not.

Wonder whether it will infect further countries. It must be frightening for ordinary citizens.

The Kremlin will be keen to take full advantage of social unrest in Europe.

Can you blame them? While Russia has refineries hit plus other infrastructure. Ukraine has created billionaires and millionaires from USA money, European money, all while ordinary Ukrainians and Russians are suffering terribly so two short of stature men can see who's gonna pee the highest up the wall. 🙄

The Kremlin is busy sowing the seeds of its own destruction. That's a bit of a worry for many reasons.

I know the rioting and destruction is serious, but I can’t help rolling my eyes at the supposed reasons that violent teenagers are giving. Apparently they’re really angry about the size of classes, state of classrooms and too few teachers. Yeah, sure, they’re setting fire to schools because they’re so keen to get a good education.

@DenizenOfAisleOfShame I know. I wonder who thought up that excuse for the arson and violence. They want more teachers, so they attack the teachers they’ve got. The classrooms aren’t up to scratch …..so burning them down will obviously improve them.
‘It reminds me of the excuse for Labour’s poor showing in the 2019 election: Corbyn wasn’t left wing enough ……..so people voted Tory.

They've moved on to looting sportwear shops now anyway.

To anyone nearby 😀

To one Labour MP, they are a symbol of the “far-Right” – but at a pub in rural Suffolk, black labradors will earn their owners a free pint on Sunday.

The Trowel and Hammer in Cotton is offering “a free ‘warm’ beer with every black labrador” in a special offer.

That's an absolutely dreadful thing to lie about.
