I was walking the dog a couple of months ago and I live in an area where there are lots of bars and restaurants. We were walking past this cool bar and there were a dussin people standing around and a speaker in front of them plus a few more men who were trying to perform a song but the speaker was clearly broken because there were just this god awful noise that came out. It was really loud too. A man who was around my age walked past me and was filming them. I’m thinking he was doing it so that he could complain. I smiled at him knowingly. Anyway, the noise stopped eventually and people started clapping and cheering. Turned out it was music.

Do you mean a dozen people?

Definately 9/11 this year for me, I made a comment about why day it was to a bunch of colleagues and then realised they had only been babies when it happened.

also, a much younger colleague inviting me out for her birthday, but not her actual birthday night out, one with her mum and aunties 🤣

I was a bit cold today so I put on a cardigan for work. Standing in front of my first year undergraduate students I realised that my cardigan was older than most of them. It's a nice cardigan and the quality was so much better back in the olden days (about 2005).

I actually also feel out of this world today.
Had an appointment planned for tomorrow which I arranged two weeks ago on the phone. They cancelled it today because they didnt get a hold of me today at 2pm to confirm. I am in gobsmacked.
