The police have to be at protests, it's their job, and especially when people come in from outside the area, rent-a-mob. However it seems there was little trouble, six arrested.

People are legally entitled to claim asylum. Besides which, how is dumping them on the streets going to make society safer? So we're back to the usual - shoot them or hunger games or what, exactly?

The UK government has a legal responsibility to provide temporary accommodation to asylum seekers who would otherwise be destitute while their claims are processed.

France is much safer. France has an almost identical population size but 50% more homicides & over double the number of deaths on the road each year.

Where do you propose they go? They legally can't just chuck them on a plane home, it would be worse for society if we just let them roam free so far better to have them housed and be accounted for. It is cheaper to have them in housing than temporary accommodation. Give an alternative, realistic, solution.

Now it is possible for millions of people to travel here and enter illegally, asylum law needs to be changed. These rules were only practical when very few could travel and claim asylum.

No country should be obligated to provide for the rest of the world at the expense of their own people.
