Look at X and GB News. The Gosport police motorcades were a decoy. The French escorted the dinghies to UK waters where they are picked up by RNLI taxis with transmitters off, everyone was told Gosport, then the people were landed in Bournemouth, transmitters back on the RNLI boats. My primary concern is why is everyone pretending, there's clearly a deal with the French to bring them here. It would savec£££ in motorcade water money.

What about the murdered and raped women and children found on the boats ?

I assume the massive police response was to protect the asylum seekers from the angry protesters @PassMeTheInternet? If the protests were peaceful then there would be no police response necessary - or at least a much smaller one. Meaning the police could be doing other things.

I live miles away from where small boats land so feel relatively unaffected by it. But I can see how it would be troubling for residents of nearby towns and villages to have their communities changing so quickly.

Just out of interest- how do posters think the Government should stop the boats, when the boats are the end product of a massive organised crime operation spanning continents? Do you actually mean stop the boats from landing, so the people have to turn around and sail back to France? Slash the boats so they sink? The government are dealing with organised crime, but you won't see what they're doing because it's not happening on a beach being filmed for YouTube.

Asylum seekers don't have rights under homelessness rules, so the local council would not accept homeless applications from them.

They only get such rights if and when they are granted refugee status, and then they are subject to the same rules as any UK citizen.

Would it be possible to change the law so that the only places where asylum visas could be applied for and granted are British embassies and consulates?Anyone entering the country illegally to claim asylum would be rejected automatically.
