Maybe if our upstanding citizens could behave like humans rather than animals the police wouldn’t need to be there. But when we are required to close lifeboat stations because of horrendous thugs the police are going to need to do all sorts of protection work that should be completely unnecessary.

People who have crossed in small boats should be detained and processed properly. Such a shame that police protection is required in order for immigration officials to carry out their duties.

We do not need to accept the French bringing them to the RNLI to collect and ferry to the UK.

We have ro pay for these foreign men. They leave dead women in their boats, burned and raped and murdered. Children too. But are they punished?
The Government knows bad agents use this method ro get in to the UK.

I'd stop the protesters and stop the need for a massive police presence and preventing safety at sea (RNLI not safe). It isn't just immigrants that need the RNLI you know.

I agree with you about the RNLI needing money. What I really want to know is why is the RNLI run on donations / volunteers? It should be a gvt service, like the NHS. Same for the Air Ambulance service
