Mine is that I ADORE white pepper, while everyone else seems to think it tastes like the 70s and hospital dinners.

I also prefer some things over cooked, mainly broccoli and pasta.

What's yours?

As a child id have sneaky swigs of Sarsons white vinegar straight from the bottle.
Refrigerated pickled onions
And suck the vinegar before chewing.

We could not be friends 😂 I can't even stand the smell of it in the room!

I appreciate the fact I'm a heathen.

I really don’t like pasta, my family think that I’m crazy, they would eat pasta for every meal!

And tea, I hate tea.

Yay, another tea hater. Even the smell of it makes me gag.

I love pineapple on pizza and also love a pineapple, cheese and ham toastie!

I hate all cereal.

I don't give much of a shit about UPFs.

I love sausages and sausage rolls. I'm going to make a batch of my home made sausage rolls later.

Salted caramel is revolting

Not only do I like pineapple on pizza I have been known to eat a tinned tuna pizza

I hate olive oil it smells and tastes funky

When dd was a baby she hated HATED a warm bottle everyone insisted on warming up her bottle i used to grab one from the fridge and she would drink it apparently this was a VERY unpopular opinion

I hate beets. Kept trying to like them. Even though they smell like dirt. Roasted the beets, They tasted like buttered….dirt. No to beets.

My DD always had cold milk. It's how they served it at the hospital where she was born. So practical.

OP not only do I agree about well-cooked veg and pasta, I also detest the weird snobbery about it. It’s fine, I like veg prepared in a variety of ways, but it doesn’t make you a better person. And I prefer a cooked carrot to a hot raw carrot.
There’s a delicious Roman pasta where you cook broccoli until you can mash it with garlic, cheese and olive oil, no chasing a hard slippery nugget around a plate.

I hate coffee. Very handy as I never waste money on it .

What do you drink when you’re tired? 😃

Mercurysinretrograde · Yesterday 05:25

I think offal is offal, and runny egg is any form is off putting - not even a whole nation of Japanese people eating exquisite but runny omelettes will change my mind. Nasty supermarket baby tomatoes that are everywhere and taste of nothing can go on the list too. Milk is a bit gross too, if you think about it too much.

A tip for making baked beans edible: to one tin add a chopped fresh red chilli and a very large splash or two of Tabasco and you get burny beans which go well with a barbecue. The chilli tones down the sweetness.

Really not keen on pizza, chocolate cake, or most sweet deserts. Pickled gherkins are heavenly. Beefs crisps are my go to rubbish snack. Matcha and green tea are revolting, most coffee in uk tastes like ash trays. I’m addicted to earl grey tea. Any canteen food or hospital dinners are grim.

I like beef including steak to be well done

I once ordered well done steak. Or as one of my friends called it incinerated!

I don't like all these fancy flavoured ice creams. Apart from chocolate cake I don't like chocolate flavoured things such as ice cream or milkshake

I don't like avocado. A friend gave me some and I found it to be rather meh

YellowScarfRupert · Yesterday 17:49

I love mashed potato in Wharburtons thick white bread with butter and salad cream

I like fried eggs to be so overcooked as to be rubber disks, same with boiled eggs. I absolutely loathe runny yolks. Actually I have a difficult relationship with eggs. Sometimes I crave them, other times they make me feel sick.

Oh God I was at a posh hotel last week and I was dreading the eggs at breakfast. There was one of those egg stations where they prepare them all to your preference (poached, omelettes etc). I asked the chef for poached but not runny, he looked confused for a second but then asked 'you want them cooked for longer?' Yes please!

The eggs were brought to the table, I cut into them and the runny yolk went all over my other food on the plate 😭😭😭😭

I have other egg related trauma too. As a teenager I worked in a cafe and had to prepare egg mayonnaise for the sandwiches, I can still hear that horrible sloshing noise as I mixed the two ingredients together 🤢🤮😵

And my DMother once tried to make egg sandwiches to take on a flight, I was like Jeez Mum have you never heard of sulphur?!

Same! Maybe this explains it. I had to mash about 25 hard boiled eggs in a bowl with a potato masher for sandwich fillings for my parents 25th wedding anniversary party (boak) Shared trauma, there.

I'm triggered by this 🤮🤮🤮🤢

Just remembered I had a flatmate at uni who used to mash up eggs with salad cream. I don't know why I keep resurrecting these eggy memories, it's a form of self abuse 😡

Empress13 · Today 00:03

I love putting mayonnaise on most things . Always have some grapes and olives with my lunch at work eg revita and hummus or a sandwich

trainedopossum · Today 02:23

Of all the delicious condiments I happily eat, I’m disgusted by them all if in places other than where they should be (eg on the handle of the knife used to apply to a sandwich).

Mayo is the most repulsive, followed by brown sauce, ketchup and mustard.

I can apply a thick layer of mayonnaise to a sandwich, eat and enjoy the sandwich, but if I find a gob of mayo on my hand while eating I’ll wipe it off with a tea towel (straight into the dirty laundry) and wash my hands.

Maybe this is less of a food opinion and more of a neurosis.

Don’t get me started on the neck of the condiment jar/bottle, residue there is the most repulsive thing of all.

I like dry overcooked chicken - hate “juicy” meat.

Hooray - I thought I was the only one!!

SquirrelGG · Today 02:40

I recently spent 8 days in hospital and loved the food - until my gallbladder was removed and I went on the low fat diet, that wasn't nearly as nice. I don't care if I never see another chickpea or lentil again - and I didn't like them much beforehand.

Nothing wrong with a UPF or two (or three) either.

God Lord that’s disgusting…I’m on holiday at the moment and having to deal with the amount of eggs in the morning breakfast buffet is a struggle. People queuing up for them. Absolutely baffling.
