Unpopular food opinions

Mine is that I ADORE white pepper, while everyone else seems to think it tastes like the 70s and hospital dinners.

I also prefer some things over cooked, mainly broccoli and pasta.

What's yours?

I couldn't eat anything with eyes on the plate: lobster, crab, whole fish, or whitebait where you actually don't see the eyes but actually end up eating them all the same. Gross.

Also tomato soup, baked beans and anything very tomato based. Gross.

Thank god it's not just me

I'm from Yorkshire and people are amazed I can't stand the stuff

I swear ill lose it if I hear 'but you Yorkshire folk had it in your bottles from birth!' or 'Yorkshire people have gravy instead of blood!it's in your dna!'

Just because i was born in an certain area doesn't mean everyone likes the same thing

Hot honey,dubai chocolate,salted caramel and cheese/gravy and chips can get in the bin too

I love desserts all of them ( except anything coffee flavoured and I love to drink.coffee !! )

Totally second this!
The thought of them makes me go cold and my skin crawls!

Also hate:

• salted caramel - what’s wrong with normal caramel
• sandwiches - especially triangle prepacked ones, I just can’t

I don’t like ice cream. Or the taste of bottled water. Give me Cornish tap water anyday!

Haha I'm in Cornwall too, I have to put ours through a soda stream I think it tastes muddy

I don't like 'Salted' ice cream.

See I only hate pineapple on pizza because I can’t stand pineapple…so it’s a massive no from me 😆

I don't like melted cheese.

I like fried eggs to be so overcooked as to be rubber disks, same with boiled eggs. I absolutely loathe runny yolks. Actually I have a difficult relationship with eggs. Sometimes I crave them, other times they make me feel sick.

salad cream instead of mayo with tuna is an absolute game changer. Had it like that since I was a kid as that’s how my mum ate it. I do eat normal tuna mayo if I buy from a shop but prefer it with salad cream.
we are a family who has sweetcorn on a roast and it I don’t give a shit.
we have chicken at Christmas instead of turkey, because turkey is dry and overrated.
chips do not belong on a Chinese… have no business being on a Chinese. If I want chips I’ll go to the chip shop.

I don’t like eggs or seafood
my idea of hell is egg or prawn curry

Figs: they have a dissolved wasp in them.

I don't like 'Milk Tray' or 'Dairy Box' or 'Thornton's' chocolates

Really, really don't like chocolate. Most of it is sickly and over sweet. I don't hate Bendicks (make Bittermints) used to also make milk chocolate, that I liked. But since that has gone, no thanks.

Don't get the obsession.

I like bananas. As is. I can't abide bananas that have been adulterated in any way, especially not with a slippery cut surface, and I can't stand the taste of banana-flavoured anything.

Same with cherries. Like them fresh, but cherry jam, glace cherries, black forest gateau, cherry flavoured anything - yuk.

Well that's fair enough. I hate coffee and bananas, so you can keep anything with those ingredients far away from me! On pizza or anywhere else!!

I like beef including steak to be well done

Crunchy cereal with cold milk is far nicer than any dessert ... possibly the world's nicest food.

Celery makes my mouth numb, it's basically fibrous Novocaine. Not fun.

As for cardamom, it can go straight to hell without passing Go

I really don’t like pasta, my family think that I’m crazy, they would eat pasta for every meal!

And tea, I hate tea.

I love a pineapple pizza.

But I cannot stomach any form of salad - I would literally throw up, it really does make me sick.

Also hate mayonnaise. And so many shop bought sandwiches have salad AND mayonnaise...

I love cold leftover curry; and cold cooked sausages. And curry pot noodles.

Vinegar on chips. Vinegar is vile on anything but also why do I want chips that are cold and soggy?

As a child id have sneaky swigs of Sarsons white vinegar straight from the bottle.
Refrigerated pickled onions
And suck the vinegar before chewing.
