I've noticed that some boards are so much friendlier than others. What are the more hostile ones you've come across?

Has this thread about aggressive posters really descended into people being aggressive towards one another about a board that they are trying to deny is aggressive in nature?

I’m a regular on feminism sex and gender - I’ve never been aggressive to anyone in my chuff. I’m blunt. I ask questions. I’m autistic so I don’t tend to do the social fluff, and it’s nice to be in an online space where I don’t have to mask.

The aggression I see sometimes is on AIBU.

There is can also be aggression towards SAHMs, private school anyone suggesting nurseries are not always the best places for very young children.

The Royals ones are AWFUL!

This thread is just a variation on the almost daily "everyone on Mumsnet is aggressive and horrible" threads

Yes, let's not allow users of a platform to discuss any parts they find problematic 🙄

It isn’t about the 0.5% who are trans but the 51% plus women and children.

It's extraordinary how much time and effort some of those posters put in to finding things to criticise H&M for. I just had a count of the 30 most recently updated threads in that topic and fully 23 of them are directly about H&M and how shitty they are. Several of the other threads also have numerous posts about H&M, usually from the same relatively small number of absolutely obsessed loons who do post after post after post.

What about the MIL threads 😱

There are a lot of people posting on mumsnet in bad faith so their responses aren't supportive or what you'd expect. There is a lot of nastiness. You just have to ignore it.

Or maybe not stereotypical women performing niceness?

For me, it's the hard-core haters of Harry and Meghan on the RF boards. There's a little clique of them who seem to spend every waking moment stoking each other's obsession.

But This was a thread started by an op asking which threads to avoid because they tend to descend into aggression and unpleasant posting. Do you and others arguing about Trans issues etc etc here not see the irony in bringing aspects of the heated debates from the feminism board and replicating them here? What do you think that suggests to people?
It actually puts people off going on the feminism board which surely isn’t ideal?

I didn’t bring the “heated debate” here. It was here before I was on the thread? I answered posts, which is surely the point of a message board?

Ok. There has definitely been no debate about any of the aspects of feminism/trans rights/toilets etc etc on this thread…. I must have read it wrong…

I think Mumsnet has got sooo much more unfriendly/aggressive in the last few years. I always regret getting involved in an Aibu. People can be vile! For no reason.
Looking for book/film/travel recommendations us generally quite hassle free tho!
Any mention of dogs and everyone goes mad :)
