I think it's because Labour politicians and supporters like to imagine themselves choosing to live in another country, but they can't imagine themselves as successful business owners 😂

"Rules for thee but not for me", as always with Labour.

Their 'morals' are quite simply that whatever they want is by definition 'right'. Because they're the good guys, don't you know, so them wanting something makes it by definition 'what good guys want'. And them not wanting something makes it 'what bad guys want'.

He'll try to do whatever upsets people the least, instead of actually thinking through for himself what is best for the UK. Don't think he's capable of it. So depressing.

There’s no analysis, no attempt to say this is the right policy and it’ll work because we’ve researched it, these groups agree etc. just gaslighting over non existent growth policies

Yes, true.
Hundreds of thousands of jobs lost in the private sector now though as a direct result of Labour policies. You could say they didn't know at first, but that excuse no longer holds water. They just don't care.
They can boast about workers rights and raising NMW, whilst omitting how many jobs those policies have cost.

I don’t think anyone really believes them though. Certainly nobody who has job searched to move or get a job in the last two years

Labour have no growth plan.

Labour were elected on the promise that growth would be their first priority.

The conditions required for growth are common knowledge, the public understood it would mean lower taxes, controlling public sector spending and regulatory reforms to ease the burden on enterprise. I think voters on the whole thought a Labour government intending to do all these things could be trusted to do them sensitively, with care. That made it an attractive offer and Labour were voted in.

Despite the requirements for an economy to grow being common knowledge, Labour pretend not to know them, when they do. Why? I think Labour pretend not to understand because it doesn’t fit their agenda. Their client voters are desperate, disempowered people who don’t believe that they can do things for themselves or have the patience or trust to vote for the country’s long term benefit. They just want other people’s graft redistributed to them now.

Labour misled the public to get into power. I wonder if they were lying to themselves at the time, or if they knew that they were lying to all of us.

They knew they were lying. The manifesto was a joke. Rishi tried to point that out, as did the IFS and others. Their true intentions were clear within weeks of taking office and we're still on the same trajectory despite all the u turns. It's deliberate.

Unfortunately they don’t get we need enterprise and success to grow jobs in the private sector.

If the DM is to be believed, our unelected PM is having a bit of a bumpy ride in the US. (I don't think anyone could have envisaged the current political madness prevailing on both sides of the pond.)

Good grief. The Greens are accusing Labour of "identity politics" for selecting a black Muslim woman as their candidate for the by election.

One of Zack Polanski’s nomination backers accused Labour of picking a black Muslim woman to fight the Holborn & St Pancras by-election as an “identity politics” ploy.

After Sagal Abdi-Wali was selected as Labour’s candidate, Kadri accused Andy Burnham’s party of being “slyly strategic bringing in a Black Muslim Woman!”.

Zia Yusuf was vilified by the left for making similar comments.

Chagos is madness. Burnham has said conflicting things to Mauritius and Trump. Is he hoping nobody noticed? He told Mauritius he would do "everything possible", yet totally different to Trump.
Tory leader Kemi Badenoch asked: 'Why can't Andy Burnham do "everything possible" to bring down the cost of welfare, or do "everything possible" to fund defence properly? 'Why is giving away this territory such a priority for Labour that they are willing to give away billions when there's little money for anything else?'Nail on the head Kemi.

Why on earth are Labour sticking to the dud Chagos deal at all? Don’t bloody revise it Burnham, drop it.

I saw the funniest comment on an article about the pain of the coming budget. The article had a picture of John Healey above it.
