I voted remain, but wouldn't again. I liked the deal we did have, and the influence we exerted as we were then. I wouldn't like the new deal in the new circumstances, and all the upheaval it would entail.

I DEFINITELY don't want more talk of Scottish independence - can you all imagine the mess that would create?

I saw Phillipson being quizzed on Sir Jim Ratcliffe on Sunday. She just smirked and called him a tax exile. Labour really don't care.

Phillipson is so bitter and lost she’d rather smirk than protect jobs.

How/why is anyone still rooting for Labour? I find it baffling that anyone, left or right, could want more of this.

The party needs a new name. Labour no longer fits.

Sidestepping for a moment, we're just back from the Southampton Boat Show.

It was lovely to wander round in the sunshine and look over the water while sipping chilled wine, but the show is dying on its feet. Far fewer exhibitors - and some of those that were there had little, or a very tenuous connection, to the marine industry. We definitely weren't in the market for a light aircraft or a sofa and actually spent nothing - a first for us (or, more accurately, DH).

The curse of this Labour dictatorship is deep and far-reaching - or maybe it's just more noticeable to anyone not in receipt of benefits.

Labour feel so powerful in government - setting whatever ideological laws they want - that they smirk at people they despise.

But Labour can never win against those who the UK benefits from. They can always choose not to play - and then it's the UK which loses.

Used to love the boat show outings. Earls court and Southampton. I'm sorry that the industry is dying. Our marina is half empty now. It's so expensive. Was so excited when it opened. No more rowing out to the boat in all weathers. We thought we'd use the boat more. The opposite has happened the old sailors have gone. The younger set are more into speed so tow their jet skis small boats around. Regattas that used to last a fortnight, now are a week or a long weekend.

Our children grew up around boats, our grandchildren only one comes out regularly. Our sons are so busy working it's a surfboard or paddle board out at the weekend.

Golf courses here are suffering a few have gone now.

One growing sport ihere s rowing every weekend women of all ages are out on the water of the rowers club. Two are friends of mine who've morphed from gym goers to rowers in their early sixties. One lady member is in her eighties.

Sorry I'm rambling but my point is our taxes have decimated some hobbies too. It's just too expensive for families.

The Ratcliffe news is bad - Bridget was never a serious politician.

Sitting next to Trump in the news interview he looks just like that guy who ended up on the news by mistake - trying to work out why he is there.

I do think AB is a good communicator - just…he needs the intellectual precision, the plans of Blair. There’s no pro business stuff, at all. All those ‘tax exiles’ know it. It’s as though labour have seen those times articles and the snp victories and gone ‘all I need to do is keep buying the core votes’

Bridget Phillipson posturing about Ratcliffe losing the moral high ground by becoming a 'tax exile' is such typical snide, clueless, ideological Labour.

It's pretty basic sense to choose a pro-business jurisdiction which you have confidence in for your company.

And there"s nothing morally wrong with choosing to live wherever you think you'll have the nicest life, which obviously includes considering how much money you will have (amongst other things).

Anyone who thinks you should stick to the UK out of 'loyalty' when the government are repeatedly screwing you over, the culture is being destroyed around us, and the structural financial problems give reasonable fear for the future has a way out-of-proportion sense of entitlement!

Labour would do well to actually listen to him, and stop fucking up the UK so that no one wants to live or invest here.

But instead they make snide, superior comments as the UK continues to slide into decline.

It’s telling that so many Labour politicians and supporters - nearly all of them really - are dead keen on the EU and go on and on about the loss of freedom of movement and work, and freedom of residence. So people who might choose to live in Italy or Ireland or Greece are OK, but not if they move somewhere else, like Ratcliffe in Monaco (not an EU country).

Chris Rokos, that bloke who paid £350m in tax, has gone to Greece. Why isn’t he being attacked by Phillipson and her crew for not staying here and getting rinsed for tax?

The truth, as ever, is that Labour’s ‘ethics’ are completely bogus. You’re only good if you agree with them. There’s nothing remotely genuine about any of the ‘principles’ or ‘virtues’ of the left. They’re all shameless posers and hypocrites.
