Finding it hard to watch PMQT because of KBs grinning.

Badenoch has such a condescending tone. She sounds as though she thinks she’s way more qualified and experienced than anyone else. It’s unpleasant to hear.

AB making good points about the links between Badenoch’s new shadow cabinet and Trussonomics.

KB implying that ‘won’t rule out tax rises’ means they will happen when AB was clear that he wouldn’t rule anything in or out of the budget until the budget is written. It’s transparent soundbite creation.

That was very interesting.

Badenoch's usual MO didn't really land very well at all as Burnham kept defusing her little explosions of nastiness. She didn't like it at all when he referrred to her new shadow cabinet and Trussonomics.

All she really has is "cut welfare spending" isn't it? As if that is the solution to all our ills.

I bet she was raging about the small boat crossings.

Badenoch was rattled and her temper started to show.

Burnham is nervous, understandable, but he performed well against Badenoch, who wrongly presumed she had it in the bag. Hot tip: don't lose your temper, it's never a good look.

We all know where austerity & cut in welfare spending landed us fourteen years of misery mismanagement paying for the mistakes & sheer incompetence with billions wasted but that’s ok it’s the Tories.

Oh yes, most definitely! I meant those constituents who didn't vote for him but still have to endure him not representing them in parliament.

I feel the same way about Badenoch. Sounds like Burnham did very well today.

I have been a tax avoider the last couple of threads. Here is my nieces dog who joined us camping, stole my bed whilst I went for a very early morning wee. He did also have my sleeping bag but I stole that back to make myself more comfortable on the fooor!

Then of course I get home to the master who complains as the rest of humans forgot to buy his cat soup and can’t be trusted to care for him.

We’ll be going away today for our DNiece’s wedding, which takes place on Saturday in Germany. It’s been a very stressful time preparing to go and DD1 is very anxious about it all. She struggles at the best of times.

ds and I went to a funeral Tuesday and he was seamless there but came home and he fell asleep almost instantly and sweat massively. The toll it takes is what people don’t seem to understand.

I’m glad your DS got through the day ok, despite struggling afterwards.

DD1 has her reaction after the event mostly, too, usually in the form of a meltdown over something relatively minor.

Agree. Because when there that know how to behave no one sees the toll it takes.

DS woke up as white as a sheet, dehydrated, low appetite etc.

He was an absolute star, mentioned to me at the wake he was struggling with the crowd but went outside for a bit. It was my friend and he’s friends with her son and was an absolute rock for him. But was good for nothing afterwards.

I hope your DD is ok and I know you’ll make sure she is
