Can they even fully monitor crypto donations though?

DuncinToffee · Yesterday 09:40

So very patriotic to be owned by a foreign money launderer

The gift which keeps on giving

Reform UK given record £36m donation by British crapto billionaire

Ben Delo was convicted in US for failing to implement adequate anti-money laundering controls but pardoned by Trump

Convicted money launderer buys politician.

Convicted armed kidnapper leads vigilantes.

bit of a theme building.

Wow thank you. Glad I got to read that.

Hope you had a good birthday despite the fall @Piggywaspushed

It's "Take-Your-Youngest-To-Uni-Day" for us. Been pretty busy and a bit emosh this morning.

Good luck today. We will be dropping off eldest next weekend. It’s time, they are more than ready. But I’m not looking forward to the drive home.

Happy belated birthday Piggy and husband!

Imagine if he'd paid the tax on it ?

A really quick win to clean up politics is to require all donations to either attract UK tax, or come from UK taxed wealth.

Regarding the stubbornness of the economy ... if you are in a position to talk the economy down in public, whilst quietly monetising it's "surprising" growth, then you stand to make a lot of money.

I have an only. I cried a lot of the way home when I left her the first time despite her being ready and me being really pleased for her. She’s 30 now and I’m meeting her for a spot of lunch and some shopping today.

It’s knowing that it’s the start of the next stage. It’s a good thing and one I’m grateful to be part of. Will allow a bit of a wallow and press on.

All my hidden post said was can they really know if/who sent/how much if it is sent using bots with the C word ending in "to"

Awwww - the last one to go. Hope it all goes ok.

Yes, the price is so moving. The bit that got me was the list of not being x y and z.

and that they just transport humans.

It’s the one thing I always say. We may all look different on the outside - but we are all made the same. Heart, brain organs etc.

Notonthestairs · Yesterday 12:27

i highly doubt they’ll be able to trace where all £26 million originated from.

It’s almost as if crapto is really really useful for criminals.

£36 million crapto payment. Silly me

you can’t make money in politics if you are straight.

I wonder if this is the sort of thing Delo is buying -

Since January 2025, the US Securities and Exchange Commission has dropped a number of cases and investigations targeting cryptocurrency platforms, many of which donated to a fund for the president’s inauguration festivities.

Astounding story. Reform receives a second £36m donation from a crapto billionaire in 48 hours.

Christopher Harborne- the £5m benefactor- has matched Ben Delo's money pound for pound.

£72m in total. Approaching US politics sort of money.

WTF

dontcallmelen · Yesterday 13:21

Surely the donors must be confident that Farage will be still leader after the current investigations would they donate such huge sums if someone else becomes the front man.

This victory was far from certain. Austin-Behan won by a majority of 328 votes over Green Party candidate David Nawaz.

Reform came 4th behind The Workers Party of Britain.

Edit vote no.

Carl Austin-Behan with short grey hair and short beard wearing a dark polo shirt. There are trees and there is grass behind him.

Labour hold Burnage council seat in Manchester by-election

Carl Austin-Behan is elected with 1,365 votes, ahead of Green candidate Daoud Nawaz on 1,037.

Anti far right protest going on in Portsmouth today.

All gone peacefully so far.

Nice to see after last weeks few (100 ish?) turn up thousands turn up to protest to the contrary.

It’s obviously coordinated approach between the crapto oligarchs.
Buying politicians - Farage, Tice & Yusuf own Reform UK.
