This is interesting. I do YouGov surveys and today’s Daily Questions were about Dover/Portsmouth. As it stands, these are the answer to two questions. Quite encouraging after reading the threads about them…

Someone must have reported the "influx of far right" thread as MNHQ has commented on it saying there has been no influx.

As if paramilitary groups strolling around UK ports could ever be a normal, rational response or provide a solution to anything.

Not the Portsmouth one but the other one, which I was skim reading this morning but didn't comment on. It had posts urging people to join X which later changed to Twitter. I can't see it.

I had a brief look at one of those threads during the night when I couldn't sleep. A few regular posters spouting the usual regular crap. Not evidencing their dumb comments and telling people to open an account on Twatter so they can get real news. And we're not allowed to call them stupid? I don't think the word stupid goes far enough.

They’ve struggled to get purchase on Healey. He resigned and they applauded.

He’s likely to stick broadly with Reeves outlook FOR NOW. Partly they won’t want to unsettle markets where continuity will be helpful.

But mainly because they need to do a spending review. Spending review will be finished Spring 2027 which is when we may see more action/policy.

Obviously the idea that Griffith has a bloody leg to stand on after Trussonomics is laughable.

This is very true, but they tend to pretend that never happened.

The place they were docking in Portsmouth wasn’t even a port.

It’s a small concrete stretch of road that’s a dead end (and a peninsular) in a place called Eastney.

It has a small pontoon and the coastguard tower is on it and the sailing club.

I feel for the residents who live at the entrance to the peninsular.

They know exactly that it happened. They know exactly what they are doing.

Brazenly they declare the lefties always change the narrative to suit themselves without a hint of irony.

Some of them looked new to me , especially the one banging on about 'brave boys'. Think MN has been targeted for opinion shaping.

i had the misfortune to be at QA hospital's A and E dept last night with a family member and heard a handcuffed young bloke making really unpleasant remarks .
He was waiting for his wounds to be fixed by members of the lovely staff who are from many different countries as is usually is the case in our NHS,
