Jenrick had just been on Lewis Goodalls shiw. He's shrugged off the violence at the conference (natch) . Basically he said she got what was coming to her

Behold - Reform the party of violence against women. If the woman speaks out of turn then she deserves a slap should be their new motto.

There will still be women who vote for them.

@TemperanceWest revolting individuals 🤢

Just horrible. They'd probably be quite happy to string up us "lefties".

Notonthestairs · 06/09/2026 11:10

Thats quite a photo.

Goodall interviewed a range of Reform conference attendees and they uniformly said either 1) they didn’t care about overseas investors propping up a British political party, 2) it was fake news anyway and/or 3) they knew Farage and he was a ‘good man’.

None of them seemed to have watched the Ch 4 report.

If that is circling women, it was also a woman who pulled her hair so hard she nearly scalped her. You can see another hand slapping hers away eventually.

They remind me of the tricoteuses.

Yes, definitely. Get those knitting needles out!

I think they would have been quite happy to see that woman torn apart.

The conference entertainment was unexpected, someone on FB commented that the set list probably included Brown Girl in the Ring followed by Gotta Go Home

nailed it
they really are experts at gaslighting no wonder a lot of followers identify with them it’s horrifying how they dismiss/barefaced lies even when evidence is clear for all to see, it’s a fucking cult.
@LizzieW1969 so glad you & dd managed to navigate the wedding so well💐
@PickAChew hope you get some respite with your class I can’t even begin to imagine how hard it is getting through the day sometimes💐

Without a doubt. They’d probably euthanise those of us who are old.

BIWI · 06/09/2026 11:35

Great to hear about your DD @LizzieW1969 Flowers

placemats · 06/09/2026 11:35

When in Rome with my sister there was an incident coming back from Antica Ostia to Termini. My sister has changed behaviour since her mini stroke four years ago. The incidents were alarming, not going into the details, but some of it was aggression towards me. Thankfully there was an American couple, similar age to us, 60/70s who intervened with kindness and support. It was over quite quickly.

Older people like myself and I'm sure all on this thread of similar age would never behave like a baying mob. It clearly shows how older people can also be whipped up into a frenzy if they are part of a cult and indoctrinated.

LittleBowSheep · 06/09/2026 11:39

The atrocious behaviour at the Reform conference was like watching a pack of wolves attacking their prey and trying to tear it apart. Utterly despicable. I really hope the protesters contact the police.

I agree. It was absolutely shameful.

countrygirl99 · 06/09/2026 11:59

I was subjected to a verbal and physical assault recently by a mother and daughter who I know are Reform supporters. It was nothing to do with politics and purely because they blame a friend of mine for them being caught out doing something wrong. So no low surprises me re Reform supporters.
A family member was a very senior member of UKIP. He was obsessed with the EU but lovely in many ways and a proper gentleman. He knew Farage extremely well and resigned over his rise to leadership. His opinion of Farage would be in line with this thread.

Evenstar · 06/09/2026 12:07

@placemats I was discussing this behaviour and the appalling attitudes displayed by people even ones who used to be liberal and pleasant people with a young friend who is a Labour councillor. We agreed that some people of a certain age have almost been “radicalised” by GB News, Daily Mail and other far right media sources.
What is harder to understand is how intelligent people ever turned to or believed those sources, not all these people are stupid, I know some of us have shared stories on here of friends and family members who have changed beyond recognition. If these were young men they would probably be referred to Prevent, there seems to be a perception that this creeping radicalisation in other age groups is less harmful. I think we can see it is not.

I’m so disappointed in them.

Evenstar · 06/09/2026 12:24

@countrygirl99 that’s awful, did you feel able to report it to anyone? These people really are dangerous.

itsgettingweird · 06/09/2026 12:33

Ive just been out to run some
errands with ds. On the way out there was quite a few cars coming into our street (it’s a dead end one).

On return there were loads of cars, traffic was like playing Tetris but a load of gentleman all in matching suits (navy and pink so got my approval!) and beautifully dressed woman in matching pink traditional dresses with loads of intricate jewelling.

I asked one gentleman if it was a wedding - it is!

I wished them a lovely day and was grateful to see such a large sense of family and community.

No witnesses so didn't feel able to report but let's just say a lot of people know and it's causing them problems. Apparently I wasn't the first person they've done this too.

I’m sorry to read about your assault countrygirl - I hope you’re ok?

Very interesting that a UKIP member doesn’t like Farage and what he stands for as Reform MP.
