Yes I agree, I didn’t like that programme either. I’m not quite sure where the dividing line is between using fame for a good cause and just peddling a personal view, but this was definitely the latter. I think if famous people are going to adopt a cause it ought to be something the vast majority of right thinking people would agree on, not some highly emotive divisive subject, otherwise institutions like the BBC shouldn’t give them a platform.

Your right that it wasn’t about cut off dates, and of course there isn’t one for terminations for medical reasons, which of course is a huge part of Philips’ problem.

the impression that i gleaned was that she was confusing Brian May with either Brian Cant or (perhaps most likely) Brian Brain 🤔

I know who Brian May is thank you , I think my description of him was pretty full some
I was making a joke ( y'know ) because
a) Brian Cox has been mentioned here and
b) crucially, no one ever has a bad thing to say about Brian May

Oh, i love jenny agutter! Particularly her voice, which, to me manages to soothing, sexy and clever all at the same time. Honor Blackman genuinely is sexy, to me. I’m a bit hyper sensitive about voices, and I love those two women. Eleanor Bron, too.
