On C4 right now.

I have this on most days cos I love seeing all the apartments. One thing is bugging me though. The apartments that have swimming pools whether private or shared with several other properties NEVER EVER have a single soul using them. It’s always a picture perfect view of a pristine pool, nobody laid on a sun lounger, no noisy kids splashing about, nothing!
I’m assuming that the camera crew must chase everyone using the pool area out of the way so they can get the perfect picture postcard shot.

I do realise there are bigger problems going on the world 🙈 but it’s just a little peeve!

There's a few bargains to be had in Albania. Quick! get over there while it's still like Spain in the 60s and before the Mafia get a hold of it.

Also ETTC: "We're looking for one to two acres" Have you got the faintest clue what an acre is? It's massive.

Hence ‘I’ve got two achers and a bad back’.

Why would a very light and frothy thirty minute episode broadcast during the daytime and wanting to squeeze in as many properties and pretty scenery as possible… spend time discussing complex legal stuff; dog visas etc? They wouldn’t.

The presumption is… they have sorted this or will sort it presumably

I like the ones who claim they want to downsize, then look around a kitchen three times the size of ours saying "Ewww, it's a bit small".

Also ones like the person moving from London to the Western coast of Wales who was insisting that she needed somewhere with reception rooms large enough to host all her friends who were sure to be itching to make a 6 hour journey regularly just to have dinner with her.

As an ex Londoner, I can tell you that I loved having friends who moved out of London as perfect opp to go and visit for a weekend away!

The kitchens are always huge and they moan and say it’s too small ! They all seem to like beams and I hate beams in houses ( unless it’s a RSJ and high up )
Some can look nice , but the man will bash their heads on them if they are too low down.

There's so much wrong with the programme but can't tear myself away 🫣 I live in a city that often features on APITS; the worst thing is how the presenters mispronounce the names of the villages. The production team must work with local estate agents so WHY can't they pronounce the names properly? 🤬 Jasmine does quite well as she's half Cypriot but the others 🤐

There have been some funny and embarrassing moments on the show - I've felt sorry for the presenters at times. I can't remember which presenter it was (either Craig or Lee), they were in France with this really horrible couple who were so rude, they said they wouldn't pay £1 for a house 😳 Proper WTF moment, I don't know how he carried on.

There's one episode that stuck in my mind though and almost made me cry. It was in Tenerife or Mallorca (somewhere expensive) and the couple had a good budget, say £200,00. They were shown this beautiful clifftop apartment which was perfect for them. Ticked all the boxes and the husband made some insultingly low offer which was rejected. The wife looked like she was going to burst into tears and that was the end of their dream 🤬😡

I remember an episode where the couple were odder than most. The husband did most of the talking. He was a builder and knew what to look for in the old buildings they were shown. His wife was adamant that she didn't want him doing loads of work to the property though. Their budget was low so they were being shown houses that weren't in great condition. After each viewing he listed out the many issues with each property which included everything from damp to structural cracks in walls. Yet his main dealbreaker in every property was having an area to build a barbecue.

Sure, but this lady wasn't insisting on having enough bedrooms to accommodate all her dinner guests, so I don't think she planned on offering weekends away for them.

Ditto re beams! When they's painted black they just contribute to making the room look dark and miserable. I also don't like a load of internal half timbering on the walls, it must really mess up things like where you're going to put pictures etc. I really could not put up with the ones where they've knocked down part of an internal wall but left the beams in place, so that it's like the skeleton of the wall subdividing the rooms - I just cannot see the point of doing that.

My major bugbear, however, is those houses where they have patches of brickwork showing through the plasterwork, as if they ran out of plaster part way through. I would have to fill in all those bits before moving in.

Unlikely that she was going to give the presenter her exact plans regarding future guests!

But I totally get why a Londoner moving out to the sticks wants to have a big enough kitchen to entertain her London friends visiting.

Am currently sitting in our PITS.
We were not having any luck finding an affordable property in the village we chose. DH applied for us to go on it and we were accepted.
I refused because I didn't want to hold his hand.
We did find our flat without their help. Unfortunately, cwr had watched too many episodes and made a cheeky offer which was confusing to the estate agent.
It was rejected several times and we ended up paying the asking price.

Its obviously a typo for husband, husband made a cheeky offer, estate agent was confused because presumably its not what they're used to despite what you see on the programmes. So offer was rejected and poster ended up paying full price
