I’m watching A Place In The Sun

On C4 right now.

I have this on most days cos I love seeing all the apartments. One thing is bugging me though. The apartments that have swimming pools whether private or shared with several other properties NEVER EVER have a single soul using them. It’s always a picture perfect view of a pristine pool, nobody laid on a sun lounger, no noisy kids splashing about, nothing!
I’m assuming that the camera crew must chase everyone using the pool area out of the way so they can get the perfect picture postcard shot.

I do realise there are bigger problems going on the world 🙈 but it’s just a little peeve!

You didn’t want to hold who’s hand?

Dhs. I can hold that anytime I want.
I didn't want to be a performative companion

Cwr a typo for husband?

Could be, if her husband is the lead guitarist in a famous Irish rock band.

I read CWR as “cheeky wanker” 😂

Just been watching an old episode on Really and they took an older couple to visit a house with a ground floor bathroom and a narrow spiral staircase to the bedroom and living room. There was then an even more perilous spiral staircase to the sun terrace. What would possess you to think it would be suitable?

What did the couple say?

@Manename the man said they would need to take a bucket up to the terrace so they didn’t have to go down the two spiral staircases to the loo 😂 They told the presenter it definitely wasn’t for them

I find it grating when the couple change the search halfway through.
Today’s ones (old series) asked for a one/two bed near the sea. Hated them all as too small (and basic). Bought a huge character townhouse inland.
Had they just said that a big pile was more important than sea, they could have had the choice if 3 more properties.

I think it is many couples really not thinking through ‘what’ a place is going to be used for, if it’s 4 times a year for a couple of weeks and eating out a lot, it’s a very different matter to fully living there in the equivalent of a1 bed flat and no garden or a tiny patios when you are used to far more space. it sounds great in theory but the reality is different if being there’s lot’ if not full time and it’s very easy to get under each others feet - I know several couples who did it, one came back, one got divorced and I think the lack of space was quite an issue with both of them , who had gone for location over space in very nice not cheap places too
