I'll start with British Gas, awful company, very expensive and customer service is non existent..there is a reason they have lost a few million customers of recent years, close second place is EE for similar reasoning.

I won't set foot in my last company's chain of stores!

Also Wenzels. Awful.

Pizza Express because they were really petty over a voucher when we spent about £200 - couldn’t use the voucher because 7 in the party and the voucher was for percentage off 6. We didn’t ask for it off the whole bill for 7, just for the 6! They said if one had sat at a different table and ordered separately we could have had the discount. Even the customer service team wouldn’t budge. Needlessly petty and I’ve never been there again and never will. Still fume about it now a couple of years later whenever I pass a Pizza Express

Customer service teams seem to be
staffed by mercenaries who think their job is argue with loyal customers. I can’t believe they would quibble over such a small matter, shocking

M&S because of their policy of letting men dressed as women in female changing rooms.

Why Wenzels? I enjoy their ‘baguette of the day’

malloryknox123 · Yesterday 22:20

My DH won’t order anything from just eat ever again after the driver gave our food to a neighbour and they refused to refund us.

coolcahuna · Yesterday 22:20

Sorry also Evri and Wagamama

chantelleleanna · Yesterday 22:21

It's astonishing how the the same companies are being mentioned numerous times 🤣 makes me feel like I'm not on my own

Probably irrational but someone in my family got treated dreadfully when he worked there so it's like a personal boycott

yes British Gas are awful I wish I had never gone with them

I believe that now you have to give the driver a code that comes up on your app to prove it's been delivered to the correct person

Decathalon. Utter bastards who sell equipment for killing wild song birds including song thrushes, gold finches and skylarks.

Olderbutt · Yesterday 22:23

Curry's ...... they 'lost' my husband's laptop they had in to repair. Absolutely appaling compensation offered.

Shearings......totally changed a theatre break I had booked for myself and a disabled friend. As we had paid a low deposit they wouldn't let me cancel without paying another £75

HSBC when it was Midland......took over a £1000 over our normal DD amount one month and couldn't have given a toss about it. This was 1985 when £1000 was hell of a lot of money!

Starbucks......I just loathe their coffee blend

Britannia Hotels after the disgusting way they sacked staff during covid

Poste Italiane.

Iykyk

Starbucks. I don't particularly like the taste of their coffee, and their tea is awful. Don't much like their ethos when it comes to paying taxes in the UK either.

Their animal welfare standards are poor too.

Evri.
Lost my parcel, complete nonsensical & random tracking updates described by their nonplussed customer service as the parcel being 'stuck in a loop'. They couldn't give a shit.
Parcel finally turned up 2 weeks later, battered.

Never again.

Evri managed to lose a mattress that I had ordered. How on earth do you manage to lose a mattress?

Daily Mail, after their appalling treatment of the Cambridge academic Jason Arday. Stopped reading that day and I would say I feel much better for it!

ChocolateCinderToffee · Yesterday 22:25

booking dot com Had an awful experience with them. It had become obvious the place I'd booked through them was a scam, and equally obvious that they knew this (I spent hours online to them) but they wouldn't cancel the booking until I'd turned up on the day and confirmed it was a scam.

Amazon because everything. I will only buy through them if I literally cannot find what I need somewhere else.

Utility Warehouse - dreadful liars, poor customer service and for extra points turns out they’re a MLM!

Several local coffee shops - I hate poor service, so don’t give them another chance.

Shein/Temu - because I have a moral compass.

Cambridge University for employing a fraud like Jason Arday and their appalling treatment of his PhD students when they complained about his lack of supervision.

Renault

It may be 20 years ago but we had a megane and it was completely terrible. Spent £££ a month on trying to get the electrics fixed when it kept just randomly cutting out/not starting. The final straw was having to steer it out the drive when the power steering packed up 3 days after I’d given birth and had no strength/abdominal muscles. French shite.

Neveranynamesleft · Yesterday 22:29

British Gas. Its not often I'm stuck for words but I have no words to truly describe their abysmal customer service. Had a simple issue drag on for months, nightmare. Took them to the ombudsman and got compensation twice.
Virgin Media. Another one with abysmal customer service that doesn't know left from right but thinks their customers are stupid. Took them to the ombudsman too.

AssassinsEyebrow · Yesterday 22:30

Fever Tree - they were a major Trump sponsor during his last election campaign. He is a paedophile, rapist, wife beater and not one of him inch isn't corrupt.

Many of his claims are now being proved true and many academics coming out in support of his academic work.
