Which organisations if any have you decided to never use again for one reason or another?

I'll start with British Gas, awful company, very expensive and customer service is non existent..there is a reason they have lost a few million customers of recent years, close second place is EE for similar reasoning.

Lost my parcel, complete nonsensical & random tracking updates described by their nonplussed customer service as the parcel being 'stuck in a loop'. They couldn't give a shit.
Parcel finally turned up 2 weeks later, battered.

Never again.

Ryanair was awful when I tried to cancel flights a few years ago when I was having cancer treatment 🤬 I was just about to start chemo, spent about a week trying to upload my medical certificates which were rejected. Kept getting bot replies. In the end I had to threaten them with exposure on social media, lo and behold within 2 hours I got a refund.

Absolute fucking disgrace 😡

Scottishpower. Currently putting me through hell, and just awful customer 'service'. I hate them with a passion previously reserved only for my ex husband.

Probably a few but first two that come to mind -

Sainsburys - won’t step in their stores ever again, awful treatment of their staff

AO - 2 washing machines within days couldn’t be delivered as allegedly found damage while in transit

Barclays Bank. I got into silly debt aged 18/19, and was pushed into having loans to clear off my overdraft. Got me into even more debt.

Kate Spade. 2 words why - Dylan Mulvaney.

Virgin media. Crap customer service and make it so hard for you to leave.
Amazon just because they are just greedy tax dodgers!

It was next door to another shop and I just left my (huge 110th centile) DGC in the same trolley after shopping there because I have shoulder and elbow problems. Hoiking him out was a task..
I was asked to leave the shop! I explained that taking him out of the trolley and carrying him was going to be hard for me.. they had no trollies of there own and I had no buggy.
The prissy manager came over when I was trying to reason. Said it was safety rulz. So I dumped £100 of bedding on the shelf and walked out..
Absolute bonkers.. how was using another shops trolley impacting the safety in Next?

Oh, yes, to Starbucks - easy to avoid.
P&O ferries because of their fire and rehire policy. Quite annoying this one.

Oh my God, Evri. More chance of getting hold of a real person at a seance than using any of their customer service options.

Purple Bricks. Told several lies to to our landlord about us as tenants, including that we hadn’t paid our rent for 2 months.

Luckily, we were in contact with the landlord ourselves and were able to send them proof of our payment and their lies.

Vodafone, years ago. Cocked up a new phone related transaction, promised it was sorted. Their bank then attempted to take almost £600 from my account over a weekend so my card bounced when I was trying to pay for my weekly food shopping. Denied it ever happened.
Ocado. One of their drivers ran over and killed the family cat and didn't even stop. Their customer service response was cold and without any empathy, you'd think we were complaining that they'd forgotten the carrots from an order.

My DM would love this thread, she has a whole list of utility companies that she hates. She has her very own black list.

Santander. Unpleasant to bank with. Near impossible to leave.
Evri. Total shite in every respect.
Amazon. Treat everyone like crap. Jeff Bezos is a cunt.
Anything Musk has a hand in. Also a cunt.
Wetherspoons. Provincial railway station waiting room atmos full of all day lager drinkers and owned by a Brexiteering scarecrow.
Nandos. Low animal welfare and filling our rivers with chicken shit.

Also Pret - their carelessness over ingredient listing killed Natasha Ednan-Laperouse, aged 15. They should have closed down in shame.

Talk Talk, after they harassed my elderly auntie until she gave in an bought a broadband package from them. She didn't even have a computer!

Ryanair - I get stressed just thinking about them.

Shein and Temu for obvious reasons.

A really posh hotel. Powerscourt Hotel in Wicklow.

We were likely to spend €1k between dinner, spa and room but on arrival we realised they had messed up the spa booking and so after an incredibly stressful couple of hours sorting it we packed up and left because we just were not having a good time there.

It was my birthday so it was very disappointing but we did something else nice instead the next day.

I just wouldn’t be going back.

Ryan Air. Flown with them once. Never again. I'd rather pay more and not be treated as a walking wallet and crammed into a plane like a battery farmed chicken. Plus plastic seats.

Body Shop. Loved it when it was ethical.

A local coffee shop near me. The bloke that owns it is a sexist pig.

EE. Called FIVE times to cancel my contract. Every single call was a hard-sale pitch. In the end, I had to shout at the operator. Never had to do that before.

Alexander Hudson Estate Agent. SO dodgy. They don't acknowledge offers (a legal requirement). Handed over an incomplete set of keys and never did take any responsibility for finding the missing key and tried to deny losing it.

McDonalds. Ethical issues obviously. But also the food tastes like shit. Really really bad. I just don't get how some people love it.

I also agree with a PP about sending money to charities that work overseas, someone I know worked for an extensive period in a poor part of the world that is constantly highlighted as needing support and said the corruption is astonishing, very little money gets anywhere near those who need it. Obviously Oxfam would be one of these charities and especially after the sex for aid scandal I’ll never give them another penny.

Ooh I’ve got two.

Pizza Hut - we queued for ages at lunch and eventually asked how long til they opened the upstairs and was told they didn’t know and so we ordered takeaway. Massively busy food hall outside and one of the kids is autistic and easily overwhelmed. We paid and before the order went to the kitchen the woman who’d been managing the queue opened the upstairs. I went straight over and asked if we could sit in, and was told no. Could have killed her. Waited for food while all the people behind us in the queue went upstairs. Complained and was offered a voucher and refused it. Never gone again.
local car wash:
was in a hurry, drove in, waiting then the bloody owner lets some woman in a local radio station branded car reverse in the wrong way to go ahead of me. Oh she only wants a quick wash. Bollocks did she, had the whole service and I was trapped.

The same as you, especially OXFAM. Some of the money wasted waas shocking!

Thames Water - I’ve always been 18 months in credit with overpayments for the last 15 years. Went online to reduce the monthly DD, but the only default option increased it to 4x my actual monthly usage.

So I stopped the DD and will just pay 6 months in arrears going forwards. They aren’t having my cash on account to use for unethical director bonuses while pumping raw sewage into the rivers - even up here right where the river Thames rises….
Still have to use them but….

Monsoon - spammed me to death, wouldn't stop, had to get the ICO involved. They then blocked my IP address, lol. Their clothes all shrank and fell apart anyway.

Fatface since taken over by Next. Dislike Next.

John Lewis & M&S, completely rubbish now ordering online, they use Evri and M&S quality has gone down the pan, no better than buying clothes from Sainsbury's.

And I don't buy, since 30 odd years anything tested on animals or has animal ingredients, make up, cleaning products, nada. Luckily much more choice now.

Any company or CEO that supported Brexit eg Dyson, Warburtons, Next , Neverspoons etc

Amazon, Starbucks re tax and the way a relative was treated. I’m also really shocked by how many union members I know who use them - imagine if they all swerved them?
BT re customer service towards vulnerable and elderly mum
PCS Union - awful experience with them
Safeways - re way they treat staff

Plus, wasn't it Oxfam workers who used sex workers while overseas trying to help?
