Price rises not coming down, cost of living gone mad, car crashes, heatwave after heat wave, wild fires.
NHS is falling, NHS dentist is like winning the loto, threats from russia.
Bills cost more than anything.
Benefit bill is out of control.
People getting attacked.

I may have missed a few things, but it feels like the UK is just building up to something big gonna kick off.
Im sure it won't but life is just crap right now.
Not to mention we are gonna get a hell of a winter with this EL nion predicted.

I feel like saying lets have a full war and end this crap then re start again( figure of speech), not living just surviving.
And the cost of being a parent now is unreal.

Oh absolutely. It’s the absolutely tiny number of asylum seekers that are DEFINITELY the problem. They’re living in hotels being paid for by us whilst somehow also simultaneously taking all the council houses. They’re lazy and claiming all the benefits so they don’t have to work whilst somehow also “coming over here, taking all our jobs”. They’re committing all the rapes, whilst simultaneously kindly allowing the white british men who commit the vast majority of rapes and sexual assaults in the UK to have a go as well. They’re forcing us all to be Muslim and implementing Sharia law, despite less than 7% of the UK being Muslim and the vast majority of those being British born.

That’s definitely the issue, not the billionaires and huge corporations evading their taxes whilst benefiting from the system. Asylum seekers are definitely the issue, not people like Farage who want you to hate brown people and focus your anger on the fact you don’t have what he has on immigrants, who don’t have what he has either, not on him and his pals for profiteering mercilessly and taking more than their share.

There is one issue with all anecdotal evidence.

No one one I know spends on rubbish while their kids go without and never have. But the demographic of people I hang out with isn’t hard up in the least. But I know it happens.

There are people that spend on rubbish while their kids go wIthout and they do. not care, it’s neglect. I think on MN the idea is so awful and so far removed from how people parent it seems unbelievable. I am not a social worker but have known and interviewed some, it’s eye opening.

And you do realise that not every issue and challenge is related to immigration?

I was on mumsnet (2019) I actually tried to warn of a huge elephant in the room and that things were about to get very bumpy….I was mocked and and thread was closed….The last post I made of my previous username was in Jan 2020 when Covid had just kicked off in China, I tried to warn about this virus that it is going to be a huge problem and was called a hypochondriac and the thread was closed.

Some of us are in occupations that give us info that put us ahead and some of that info can forge an opinion thats rooted in data. However, such opinions can often go against the comfort, opinions and even lives of others and because of that, the opinion is rubbished.

This country is in a rough way but so is almost every country on the planet. Many of this countrys problems can be fixed internally but nobody has fixed them for 26 years at least. Now if nobody has fixed the internal problems and many of the problems have just got worse, what does that tell you?

Yes absolutely agree. It’s unnerving. Always felt it hasn’t felt the same since pre Covid. There is no proper punishment if people do things wrong stealing etc, low sentencing for murder rape. Peoples moral compass has gone. It’s from rising prices, increased stress, job market uncertainty, social media, newspapers, everything is feeding in to this. I feel like the country has lost control and it’s way and we need a strong PM and government to bring it back round.

Sorry I’m in my 50s and see younger generations spending far more on luxuries let alone essentials than I did in my 20s to 30s and far more than I am now!You are supposed to spend more on essentials when you’re younger because you’re building a life! !!!Since when have generations walked out of home at 18 to the same finances as those in retirement or below? The sense of entitlement now is insane. We’ve all struggled in our early years. It’s called life .

Immigration may not be related to every challenge and issue, but try living in a high density heavily immigrant populated area and tell me how easy it is for those people? When you have 10 spaces at a GP surgery, you can get away with it if there are 20 people after a space….See what happens when you all of a sudden add 1000 more people. Now apply this to schools, hospitals, housing, social care, jobs….Then what makes it even worse is when announcements are made scaling back help to “poverty and ethnic minorities only”….But somehow poor British still cant get assistance…Do you understand how all of a sudden immigration becomes a HUGE issue but not necessarily the cause? Live in an area like this first!

@Crissy81 where do you live that it’s just immigration putting pressure on local infrastructure & not an ageing population? Schools are closing in many parts of the country because there aren’t the kids to fill them.

I’m from the UK but currently living elsewhere as I have a better quality of life - earn more, better healthcare etc.

Getting a drs appointment is like winning the lottery, feels like the surgery is run by chatbots. Feel like the whole bloody country is AI, self serve and chat bots. It's the human touch which is missing.

The benefits bill is out of control a friend works in recruitment has able bodied men turning down jobs and hours because openly admit affects benefits so wont work that week. Thats out of control if benefits worth more than working.
pre pandemic could walk around most of London with phone out safely that simply isnt the case now. There are more violent attacks against women and weirdos on tubes harrassing people than 10 years ago have literally seen and heard first account. Know of plenty girls spiked. Yes its still a safe country but it is not as safe

This is so true. There are so many uk towns that are now unrecognisable. Boston Lincolnshire is one example. Try living there for a bit and then give me your opinion!

We left from there! Used to be a lovely market town - influx of European workers came in and the gangs were obscene. Our house we were renting out to a family became a 50 people plus house sleeping on the floors and then vans coming to pick them up every day. We stopped going into Boston due to the violence- woodhall became our local town!

No it is not. I am disabled, so quite vulnerable, and I am not scared to live my life, and yes that means even going out, and about in London!
