Does anyone else feel the UK is heading towards a crisis?

Price rises not coming down, cost of living gone mad, car crashes, heatwave after heat wave, wild fires.
NHS is falling, NHS dentist is like winning the loto, threats from russia.
Bills cost more than anything.
Benefit bill is out of control.
People getting attacked.

I may have missed a few things, but it feels like the UK is just building up to something big gonna kick off.
Im sure it won't but life is just crap right now.
Not to mention we are gonna get a hell of a winter with this EL nion predicted.

I feel like saying lets have a full war and end this crap then re start again( figure of speech), not living just surviving.
And the cost of being a parent now is unreal.

Rant over.

They are mostly MUSLIM MEN.

It is always men.

Let's call a spade a shovel here. It is always men. Who get way with it because they are men.

My focus is women and girls.

Yours is what? Immigrants, Muslims, Foreigners?

I remember reading that Boston (Lincs) had been given the dubious accolade of 'the most murderous town' in England and Wales (murders and attempted murders per capita 2015) - largely blamed on Eastern Europeans. Also, that five Lithuanian men managed to kill themselves in Boston in 2011 when their illegal vodka factory exploded - a sixth Lithuanian man escaped with 75% burns.

Edited

Lincolnshire Police Superintendent Paul Timmins said: “Using population data to compare crime rates will inevitably not provide the truest national picture but we do acknowledge that there have been a number of tragic incidents in Boston in recent years.”

“While we have seen a handful of serious incidents recently, they remain exceptionally rare and almost entirely domestic….I regard this as a particularly illiterate use of statistics” - The MP for the area.

2 Lithuanians murdered by Lithuanians in one year is shocking. The 8 attempted murders were also shocking. Have things changed in the decade since?

I don’t see any of the crimes which have occurred as insignificant. The opposite in fact, it should be cataclysmic for change. I don’t see how anyone can see Rhiannon Whyte and think it’s not.

I also don’t see how people can applaud Labour on this system given it relies on actual fighting on French beaches, tear gas or batons. It’s a nonsense mass of contradictions.

On visas, I don’t mind if it’s permanent, if people want to build a life. The important part is stopping this messy, chaotic system with all that risk, and men benefitting, and so many crimes occurring here and on the way. Scrap it all and choose a limited amount of people, already vetted.

That means major changes to international laws though which is the hurdle.

I’m happy to proceed without waiting for everyone else, as Australia has done.

This is the thing. I don’t think we disagree, despite your seeming need to insist we do, it’s just our reasons for wanting the same changes appear to be different. I assume you also want to see a much larger concerted effort to deal with our own homegrown perpetrators of VAWG?

Not according to the actual statistics.

Perhaps it’s because they’re coming home!! 🤣
Just couldn’t resist 🤣 !!

I’m sure someone somewhere will blame them for it. 🤣🤣

I'm alluding to the previous poster whose daughter said it was mostly MUSLIM MEN. What's your problem with that?

Oh really? And they're the true statistics are they?
I'm referring to the previous posters daughter who said that it was mostly Muslim Men that were harassing her.

Redragtoabull · 24/08/2026 01:13

Your post could've been written in the 80's. The country is slowly sinking and I feel sad for the younger generations

TheGrimSmile · 24/08/2026 02:07

The whole world is. Climate change is real and only going to get worse. A tiny minority of fucked up white men own all the assets and the more they acquire, the less we have. It's a shitshow.

Got some whopping gaslighting going on in this thread.
Fancy trying to tell others what they see with their own eyes.

Agree wholeheartedly OP. I wish I could move to another planet and go back to pre 90's.

Your posts read like everyone who disagrees with or challenges you are incapable of using any logic, and, as others have said, you hide behind facts and figures, and believe them to be true.

You've only got to open your eyes and read about and listen to people from all over the Country, and from all walks of life, to see that illegal immigrants are causing a massive problem in our society. By this I mean, listen to people's personal experiences with many of these men, without only quoting facts and figures trying to prove others wrong.
An illegal immigrant attempted to rape a friend of mine in broad daylight in a public park. Thankfully she fought him off and he was caught, but only because the lowlife got into an Uber afterwards, and the driver was able to take the Police to where he was living. He only got a slap on the wrist though.

If this man hadn't got into that car and disappeared into the crowds, he would never have been caught, because with illegal immigrants, the Police don't even know who they are most of the time. How many crimes committed by some of these men go unreported and unsolved I wonder? Before you tell me British men also comitt crime, yes I know they do, but they are more likely to be tracked down and held accountable than people who come here illegally and who have no identification.

You should look at every where around you (Cities especially) and see just how bad everywhere is getting. People no longer feel safe to walk the streets because there's unvetted men wandering around in groups.
The situation is getting worse by the day, but people like yourself can't or won't see it.

Maybe you live in an area where you're not as affected as other parts of the Country yet, but you will be one day if something drastic isn't done.

Don't come back at me with your high and mighty know it all attempt to show you're right and I'm wrong, because it won't have any affect.
I'm living in the real World and not blinkered. I can see how my Country is going downhill, take a leaf out of the majority of the populations book and open your eyes.

Not according to the actual statistics.

You are aware that offenders self ID their ethnicity rendering the stats unreliable.
There was a recent case where 5 Afghan migrants were convinced for rape and grooming of yoing girls, 2 of whom said they were white. 2 'white' offenders for you to use as a gotcha when other posters say there's a problem.

I don’t need to disagree. I thought that of you.

Well I don’t agree on some of what you say but the outcome could be similar. Vetted, controlled etc

The major stumbling block is to get another system is this one can’t stay and that includes international bodies and / or laws.

On general violence, of course, hold govs to account for that. But in this there requires systemic change which comes about due to a public who put pressure on politicians.

Not just the uk. America will crash and Europe will follow. China and India are the next world leaders.

western middle classes will lose the most. Billionaires won’t suffer for what they have caused.

BermudaRhombus · 24/08/2026 09:04

I can’t really see a way out of the current situation. No really radical policy changes are possible without spooking the markets and triggering a huge crisis (as we saw under Liz Truss). We’re completely stuck with anaemic growth and no end in sight. That, in my view, is why we see all governments as the same - they have absolutely no room for manoeuvre. Voting for something “radical” like Reform might seem attractive to some, but I wonder how the markets would react to a trade war with Europe. It would surely end us economically.

BermudaRhombus · 24/08/2026 09:10

I would add that, as is typical in times of economic hardship, certain political parties are stirring up division and trying to create a climate of absolute terror amongst the public. A scared population will vote for anyone who says they will protect them. It really is the oldest play book and it seems to be working for them. They are an absolute poison and we keep drinking it.

I presume you're talking about Labour here?

BeserkingTuesday · 24/08/2026 09:17

The misuse of statistics is appalling, comparing apples to oranges.
Most rapes are committed by men.98.2%
Most rapes are committed by those aged 16-59, 96.8%
of those 63.1% are aged between 20 and 39.
the majority of asylum seekers are aged 18 - 39.
Conclusion is that until you compare immigrant males to the resident male population of the same age group you are talking nonsense.
Generally speaking, women do not rape; children do not rape, pensioners do not rape.

So if you wonder why people think that you are racist it is because of your muddled( or manipulated) thinking

What a selective post. There are plenty of good things happening everyday. I love my life and am extremely grateful for it.

She's not talking about good things. Of course good things happen, but they don't cancel out the bad.

BermudaRhombus · 24/08/2026 09:23

and how do you know about these crimes?
