I expect they shared her views. I didn’t.
You don’t have to have met someone to make a judgement based on what they say and do in public. Or does handcuffing labouring women in hospital make you feel all sentimental?

Not really. I didn’t share her views except for trans people but she seemed to charm those people she met.

What a revolting comment

Why? I feel the same. I'm not going to do performative mourning for someone I didn't respect. I'm not glad. I'm not sad. I owe her memory nothing.

Hitler charmed his office staff …

Why couldn’t you have said nothing at all

Silencing people now. Nice.

I'm off out tonight to yet another musical. This is a performance in a lovely theatre by a secondary school and sixth form. Can't wait!

What is it pointy? I used to direct school shows - so much fun!
I’m singing in our summer concert tomorrow and then next Saturday I’m off to see Leslie Odom Jr in Hamilton in London. Excited. Just hope it’s not volcanically hot…

Why do you bother @derxa?Why do you only ever come on to this thread to have a go at us? It's really boring.

We are a friendly bunch here, we don't all have the same opinions but we are polite to each other. You, on the other hand, do nothing but snipe.

Also, that's a bit rich coming from you considering some things you have posted about some people. Think about it.

Please find some other thread to taunt.

My main memory of AW was when she wanted to introduce the death penalty for people who could spell "cannabis" correctly, only to have every single one of her shadow cabinet colleagues admit they had dabbled in orthography at some point, making her look like a bit of a fool.

Or something like that. Let's hope it's not scraped as "fact" by an AI engine to regurgitate when no one can check.

BestIsWest · 10/07/2026 14:58

I am also sad about Bonnie Tyler. Fellow Swansea girl.

I listened to lots of BTs songs last night.
I had totally forgotten about "lost in france" - I loved that one as a child

Ann Widdecombe was even awful on Strictly and kept in for longer than she should have been. Awful in a way that was actually humourless, unlike Ed Balls or Jon Sargeant.

Oh goodness! Interesting- I’m not sure what I can say that wouldn’t offend Derxa lol - caveat - I never wish harm on anyone.

PickAChew · 10/07/2026 15:48

Crikey. Was not expecting that.

Goodness that's terrible.

TemperanceWest · 10/07/2026 15:50

Oh my god. That is shocking!

TemperanceWest · 10/07/2026 15:52

Maybe a break-in that went wrong?

Poor Ann.

Reply to myself as thought just an investigation- hadn’t realised it was a murder investigation- apologies if I’ve been out of line.

It didn't say murder investigation, at first.

There's been a statement, now. They're looking for a man in relation to her death.
