She’s got such scruffy legs. I do groom her. Daily. I get enough to make a new cat off her most days…

Raven08 · 10/07/2026 11:40

I wonder why @derxadoesn't feel the need to post her offence at the likes of Lowe (as per his foul comments yesterday) which
I'm sure AW would have agreed with.
I have no feelings about AWs death.
I am, however, very saddened about Bonnie Tyler

Given what you say about Ursula Von Der Leyen that's a bit rich. Pot and kettle spring to mind.

^ this!

BIossomtoes · 10/07/2026 11:43

Yes, I was sad to hear about Bonnie Tyler. It’s nothing but a heartbreak.

Efacsen · 10/07/2026 11:51

@DuncinToffee I recall erxa popped up with her faux outrage towards the end of a previous thread buggering up the smooth transition to a new thread

Could we therefore think about a new thread to prevent that happening again?

Good point. We’re spoiled for choice for titles for the next thread.

I tnink there will be no lack in title suggestionsGrin

We have a bit to go but I'll try and keep an eye on it.

I noticed @derxa was absent when Lowe's despicable comment on the Dunblane massacre was discussed here yesterday.

His comments were disgraceful. I don’t support Rupert Lowe or Nigel Farage

Well she didn’t mean she had no feelings did she. The implication was that she disliked her intensely. Whatever

It's what she said. Do you have some kind of insight into what the poster actually meant but didn't say? Or are you just jumping to conclusions?

I find it helps to try and look at what actually happened or was said.

A bin full of madness

That's somehow directed me to listen to the fantastic Brimful of Asha on the 45. Very summery.

Why? The woman was 78 years old and had lived a fortunate, comfortable privileged life. We all have to go at some point don't we? Why should people who have no liking or respect for her feel sad at her death? We tend to only mourn the passing of strangers where we feel the person has made a positive contribution. Otherwise, its perfectly normal to feel nothing.

Which is why my comment was so short. She was a politician of note but not for good reasons.

Mine was much more critical but it got ignored. 🤷‍♀️

As were the opinions DH and I expressed to each other, this morning. Definitely not for public consumption.

I expect they shared her views. I didn’t.
You don’t have to have met someone to make a judgement based on what they say and do in public. Or does handcuffing labouring women in hospital make you feel all sentimental?
