Memory is merciful.

So true. I shall try to keep today's news out of sight so as not to stir up related memories and cross feelings.

Only the Times and the Guardian carrying this as a front-page story - mainly due to Lowes antics but also anti-Burnham/anti net zero [Badenoch]/heatwave/football

BBC don't seem to have the story yet at all as far as I can see

BBC have caught up now

Memory is merciful.

Hopefully her god will also be merciful. She may have some explaining to do.

Condolences to her friends and family.

It's even worse... his supporters are of very questionable character.

Temperature records are being broken but according to an interview with the Telegraph, Badenoch will purge MPs who back net zero

Interesting quote from BBC article

''Reform sources say no party officials have been interviewed by the police.''

So maybe someone who has been very busy helping Reform-UK with their finances but does not have an 'official role' with the party - that sounds a convenient way to distance themselves Smile

Who Funds Lowe

Exactly. A deliberate attempt to keep everything at arms length, and using family members to create further distance.

How will she do that? She can't afford any more by-elections.

His party are trying to brush this off on the basis that "obviously"he meant to refer to "one incident" and not "one murder". I don't know about anyone else, it doesn't seem to me that that makes it a whole lot better. Since when was the murder of 16 children and one adult, and severely injuring 15 other children, an "incident"?

You only have to look at the incidence of school shootings in the UK compared to the US to understand why we need these restrictions. How dumb do you have to be not to realise that?

Agreed. But that’s the point about Lowe, he is dumb. And obviously he’s doing the bidder his paymasters in the US.

I really feel for the Dumblane families. What an awful thing to say.

I can't read beyond the headline but she wants builders and teachers as her election candidates and not failed politicians following old policies

Oh my god - I’d not really thought about it - they are seriously vile and scary folk.

I know who James Holmes is from counter protests, his attempts to ruin a family member’s cafe, and his obscenely huge and disgusting flag on the old Chez Vegas council building - I’d not though realised how completely abhorrent he truly is.

Notonthestairs · 10/07/2026 09:45

Badenoch wants teachers as MPs? But presumably not the 'superfluous' teaching assistants.

She may have forgotten that she said support staff were a luxury, I haven't.

DuncinToffee · 10/07/2026 09:45

Anti establishment party 😅

It is interesting that until Farage warned the press to stay away from his family (in full on gangsta mode) no one really gave a toss.

However, now money laundering is being mentioned, you have to ask yourself some questions a la Sturgeon ...

Surely they agree whole class learning is the only way and schools should get rid of those pesky support staff and luxury peripheral activities?

I read the article about Lowe and Dunblane. Pretty sure he wouldn't have got the numbers wrong if it had been Dragon School pupils who had been gunned down...
The man is an utterly loathsome piece of shit, and the fact that his takeaway from Dunblane is that his father 'had his pistols taken away' just shows what a self centred turd he really is.

I despair.

On Threads, orkneyingawilson has posted a picture of her daughter, Mhairi, who was one of the sixteen. She is so calm and collected but the picture is heartbreaking - a little girl sitting on the kitchen units eating berries from a. Little bowl. I won’t post it here, it’s too sad. And only her mother has the right.
This is a link to her profile if any of you want to support her. https://www.threads.com/@orkneyingawilson?igshid=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ==
