A chat thread for those who don't like this Labour government 💙

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

@DenizenOfAisleOfShame I think Binface is a lot more fun

It suddenly occurred to me this morning that this is another moment of "who is paying certain individuals in British politics cause complete chaos". But of course different individuals have probably got different funders.

Just catching up with GB News from last night. They're talking through all the different scenarios, but I think no one banked on the one we're likely to get!

SapphireCasino · 08/07/2026 11:39

Does anyone know what happens if everyone else withdraws from the race?

All jokes aside it seems so incredibly unfair that the people of Clacton actually have to go through this.

I realise Farage would be too embarrassed to withdraw his resignation so I'm wondering if there's any kind of mechanism for an emergency, to get people represented.

He can stand completely unopposed. Then his own vote for himself would get him back into Parliament. That would be a just - and funny - outcome.

Failing that, though, the best scenario in this farce would be for the non-Farageists to gather behind a comedy candidate. Even a good but losing showing for Binface would render Farage’s plan risible.

I was a bit disappointed that Binface didn’t get a good vote against Burnham in our most recent wasteful vanity by-election.

@DenizenOfAisleOfShame oh I see.

thanks. Blimey, I don't know how he's going to get himself out of this. So much for 4D chess!

God Labour are still smug, arrogant and annoying gits aren’t they, had to turn off Lammy.

Even when ousting their leader because he failed.

So David Lammy wont apologize to victims of Pakistani rape gangs in their 20/30 and 40s, but wants to give a conditional discharge to Ruth Ellis Hanged for Murder in in 1955 ! This Government is beyond a joke and is I swear having a laugh at the Public.

Ruth Ellis whether we think the sentence was harsh or fair by todays understandings is irrelevant, she was sentenced in 1955 under the law as it stood. The real issue though is we cannot help woman alive today who need help or compensation, but we can virtue signal by discharging a women Hanged over '70' Fucking years ago
