Assuming the membership get a vote, dh will via his union membership. He is very unlikely to vote for Burnham, hopefully there will be someone decent in the competition.

As a half Irish person myself, I suspect the usual anti Irish shit will surface soon enough.
Plenty of anti Catholic feeling around too.
Anti everything that isnt white, protestant male, in fact.

I have seen people mention Darren Jones, he seem highly rated but maybe too inexperienced.

To vote for a new leader, membership of the party must be more than six months.

So existing members only. It won't come to that though.
