And si it starts.

I don't click on you tube links, not even in the replies to the guardian quick.

4a: this clue.

I also like Ed Miliband. Much more so than David who goes in my Wes Streeting and Tony Blair v2 column.

In a statement on Instagram, Meloni said Trump's "constant, unprovoked attacks" were "senseless".
"As for my popularity, being your friend has certainly not helped it, nor does it depend on my relationship with you," said Meloni.
"My popularity is none of your concern. I suggest you focus on yours," she added.

Be careful who you sit next to. Is my advice.

That is a very angry man.

Very scary.

I'm off out to Bingo tonight. It's just for a local group and a social event. Duck and dive.

Four people in hospital after knife attacks in Edinburgh. An arrest made.

BBC report say man shouted about "protecting the country". Sone signs the attacks near a mosque at petrol station & pizzeria may have had anti-Muslim or anti-migrant/minority motives (tbc)

I await the riots - sorry, protests against violence - which must be imminent.

It has been updated to 'Five injured in suspected anti-Muslim attacks' since I first posted it.

And as duncin notes on the Edinburgh thread this would be cause for a genuine observation that this is being glossed over by news outlets.

That's what I was thinking. Still waiting to hear Farage express his 'cold rage' about this and for Tommy Ten-Names to turn up with his bunch of cronies. But no, not a peep.

Observer reporting that Starmer is expected to resign on Monday. Sad but inevitable.

"Expected" is doing the heavy lifting here.

Will certain posters think we're disloyal fangirls if/when another name appears on our thread titles? 🤔

Raven08 · 20/06/2026 23:39

Hmm.
He might. I wouldn't blame him tbh.

BIWI · 20/06/2026 23:49

I really hope he doesn't Sad.

Can't remember, did this start with Cameron or May. I do rember the Johnson years, the Truss days and the Sunak dregs. What fun they were.

I am going to wear my "Sparkle with Starmer" tshirt on Monday and put candles around my shrine to the great man. (or my Shriner -as I like to call it).

Fan girl? Moi?

It's a great article that is sympathetic to Starmer and his excellent achievements, primarily getting Labour into power - Burnham wouldn't be in the position he is now without that legacy.

Streeting should stay on the back benches and let the smooth transition take it's natural course. Deals 'my arse', as Jim Royale would say.
