Wide leg trousers will be the death of me

Really. Today I am wearing those balloon style trousers and three times so far ( twice on the stairs) the toe on one leg has caught in the trouser leg on my opposite leg.
I am home alone today and if it happens again it could be the end of me.
You don’t get this danger with leggings.

A long skirt nearly ended me last week

Well, I’ve been eyeing up a pair of linen balloon pants for a while and this has made my mind up for me. I lose my shit each time a pocket or sleeve gets caught on a doorknob, this would send me postal. Thanks for your public service announcement.

Two people I know have suffered injuries from wide leg trousers ! One a broken ankle and one a broken wrist !

The balloon trousers I find easier to manage, if they taper at the ankle.

But I hurt myself so badly getting tangled in the hem of some wide leg trousers and going splat on to a stone terrace.
I smashed knee, elbow and hand, thankfully saving my face. The lump on my knee took about a year to go down and I couldn't kneel for about two years. Awful. Never again.

Yep, me too. I recently tripped up stone stairs in front of a huge group of Chinese tourists. They all made the same shocked sound at once, and then about 20 of them rushed me trying to dust me off. I had to pretend I was fine and tried not to limp/cry until I could get out of site. We kept bumping into the same group over the day, and each time I was pointed out again, with more concerned mutters. Mortifying!

If clothes can hurt you dont buy them 🙄

Dislocated my big toe standing up and getting my toe stuck up the leg of my trousers.

I was once late to pick up the DC from school. I was sprinting in the rain whilst wearing palazzo trousers. My left leg somehow got tangled in the flappy fabric of the right leg and I fell heavily. I took all the skin off my palms, grazed both knees and knocked my forehead on the ground. Still, I was late and embarrassed so I leapt up and trotted on. Around 5 minutes later, I was on the playground as the dc were let out and the world started to narrow and I passed out. I think it was shock. I still have scars.

I think it might be safe to get the cropped wide leg trousers that stop just below the knee, what they call coulottes. There's a higher risk of looking like an oompah loompa but the upside is no trip hazard
