Wide leg trousers will be the death of me

Really. Today I am wearing those balloon style trousers and three times so far ( twice on the stairs) the toe on one leg has caught in the trouser leg on my opposite leg.
I am home alone today and if it happens again it could be the end of me.
You don’t get this danger with leggings.

This happened to me in John Lewis’s fitting room, luckily I managed to eventually wriggle out of it. I honestly thought they were going to have to cut me out of it.

I had this too when much younger and trying on a tight fitting dress. Can’t remember which shop but their sizing came up really small and I couldn’t get the dress in my normal size on or off. Eventually managed it, but it put me right off tight fitting clothes!

I broke a foot falling down the stairs with flappy trousers.

Birkenstock clogs—- dog pulled me and I literally face planted the pavement. My teeth are still sore, and my nose and mouth are all scabbed up!!

I got stuck trying on a sports bra when I was home alone 🤣 I can’t remember if I finally escaped myself or had to wait until DH got back.

Oh no I have those too! I’m doomed.

I have punched myself in the face trying to get a sports bra off. They need a health warning also.

I got stuck on a dress in Chelsea Girl, when I was a teen. Luckily that store had cubicles so I didn't have to worry about dignity when I wriggled out of it.

I've since learnt that being hypermobile has its uses. If something is too snug, definitely don't try to pull it off from the bottom. I cross my hands over behind my head, grab the garment by the back of the shoulders, flop forward and sort of shimmy out of it as I pull the shoulders of the garment over my head.

I couldn’t understand why I seemed unable to climb the stairs at work. Then realised my left foot was inside the hem of my right trousers leg. Had I been going downstairs I’d have been a goner.

Yes. Why are trousers so long all of a sudden? I haven't shrunk! Also 3/4 sleeves getting caught on doornobs. That's what will end me!

I am forever catching things on doorknobs, pockets on cardigans are particularly hazardous for me. I surpassed myself yesterday by catching my wedding ring on the door handle.

Wide leg trews are deadly. I fell and squashed my brother's young tomato plants just stepping off his patio. The next day I put all my wide legs in the clothes recycling bin. Cuffed legs only from now on. My foot is still sore.

Avoid windy days when wearing wide leg trousers. An awaiting snide side wind blew one leg of my trousers across my other leg and it wrapped tightly around resulting in both my legs being bound together. I fell forwards smashing my face on the floor. The force pushed the little pads which hold my glasses on my nose into my face and I looked like a panda for the next six weeks.

I have found my people! I once got the heel
of a shoe caught on the hem of my wide leg trousers and went arse over tit all the way down the stairs. My back was a bit sore and I bruised my hand but for some miraculous reason that was all. These same shoes - lovely heels with a t bar and little bows tried to take me out a few more times. Stood in work I trapped one heel in the bow of the other shoe. Went down like a sack of spuds. It had to happen a second time before I got rid of them.

Are you me? I’ve had the exact same issues! Stiletto boots and the heel of one getting caught in the trouser turn up on the opposite leg, plus kitten heel shoes with cute little bows and one heel getting caught in the loop of the bow of the other shoe. Went down like a sack of spuds both times very publicly, like someone had lassoed my ankles!

I have taken scissors to a sports bra!

I saw a woman wearing the same shoes a few years later and I was torn between being jealous that she had them (I really REALLY liked them) and yelling ‘how are you still upright?’ at her

I nearly fell down some plane steps once wearing them 😳

A body with poppers on the crotch is worse. I lost my virginity all over again and it put me out of service for almost a week.
