Henry Nowak

Heard of him? Probably not, because there seems to be an almost complete news blackout about him. Basically the police handcuffed him and let him bleed out because they thought he may have said something racist - he didn't, it was a lie told by his murderer. Henry was 18.

I wonder why Starmer and his cronies havent taken the knee for Henry like they did for George Floyd......oh wait

Too busy virtue signalling

The recorded incident only showed a few seconds and it could be argued that the white guy was provoking the killer by saying "you're a bad guy" - BUT it didn't show him being racist

”the white guy” was an 18 year old called Henry Nowak. He had a sister and parents who cried when his killer was found guilty. He had his whole life ahead of him.

you are an absolute disgrace

Are you serious on this?

The trial heard that Digwa lied to police, falsely claiming he was the victim and alleging he had been subjected to racist abuse.

Dollymylove · 30/05/2026 20:31

Btw. I am not a police hater. They mostly do an amazing job. And the way they responded was probably and instruction from above.

I'm not a police hater either, but I don't trust them or defend them. Nor do I have faith that the IOPC will be able to do anything about the police officers involved.

The only good thing is that Henry's family have got justice through the judicial system. I have no doubt that that was a worry for them.Sad

Don’t you dare.

It does not matter the religion, colour or ethnicity of either victim or murderer.

Does this apply to poor Stephen Lawrence and Anthony Walker?

Answer: no, because in racist killings sadly these things DO matter.

In context of my point - replying to a point about protest

Well obviously that shouldn’t happen.

But you can’t say the only sincere beliefs are left wing ones and any right wing person concerned about this is ‘using it for their own gain’.

This ties in with their (IMO incorrect) assertion about two tier policing. So why wouldn’t they publicise it?

But you can’t say the only sincere beliefs are left wing ones and any right wing person concerned about this is ‘using it for their own gain’

I didn't say that, though. What I said was:

I think some on the right were/are hoping to really stir things up with this case

There are people across the political spectrum who are disgusted with how the police acted. But the actions of the likes of Robinson are another matter.

So? I find all these desperate attempts to shaft the spotlight onto ‘the right wing’ rather than the man who savagely murdered a teenager for no reason to be absolutely deplorable.

Again read the information from the trial, you don’t need to spread misinformation.

‘The trial heard that Digwa lied to police, falsely claiming he was the victim and alleging he had been subjected to racist abuse.’

Do you agree that statement applies to other racist murders where the victim wasn’t white?

Anyahyacinth · 30/05/2026 20:35

5MinuteArgument · 30/05/2026 15:52

Police training needs to be reconfigured. They've become so frightened of being accused of racism that they can't see what's happening with their own eyes. That's why the grooming gang scandal went on unchallenged for years in many cities and towns across the UK because they wanted to preserve community cohesion.

Trouble is it has the opposite affect.

That's not true. In some cases police officers were implicated.

Mostly though, they saw girls as prostitutes or child prostitutes and not victims of abuse. It was that thinking that stopped them acting (and still does)

That poster desperately wants there to be. Imagine being that sick.

Anyahyacinth · 30/05/2026 20:38

Stunning that anyone who lives in our society doesn't know that sometimes the police get the victim and perpetrator confused as they arrive AFTER events.

There shouldn't be a presumption either way.

The simple fact is this young man needed medical attention and victim or perpetrator should have received it

No there isn’t. As found by the jury. What happened to him is a nightmare already without disinformation.

Pointing out facts doesn't mean shifting the spotlight. It can be on the vile murderer, the police who behaved appallingly and the people who are trying to use this horrible case to stir up division.

Henry Nowak was bleeding from the face. There is no excuse for the police here.

What ‘facts’?

I feel there are a core of posters who are so unbelievably uncomfortable about the fact a non white person used their race to smear the victim they had savagely murdered, that they will bring up anything that they feel shifts the issue back to ‘left wing right, right wing wrong’

SemperIdem · 30/05/2026 20:43

It is a dreadful case, poor Henry and his family. I cannot imagine how terrible it must be to have to not only live with losing your son but to know he was utterly failed in his last moments.

I agree. I am disgusted at the way some parts of the media are trying use this terrible crime in their cheap, ignorant, culture wars.Angry
