Heard of him? Probably not, because there seems to be an almost complete news blackout about him. Basically the police handcuffed him and let him bleed out because they thought he may have said something racist - he didn't, it was a lie told by his murderer. Henry was 18.

Would you want a video of your son bleeding to death released to the public?

I think it's in the publics interest to see how the police conducted themselves.

Instead it will be washed over and "lessons will be learned" bullshit.

The police involved should be locked up. Keir Starmers silence is deafening. The whole situation is vile but sadly perfectly represents the state of current Great Britian.

Pieceofpurplesky · 30/05/2026 20:10

@GoldThumbwere you in court? None of this information has been released so you were either there or repeating some of the things from social media.
This is what I find dangerous. The court finding will be released and then people will know. Baying for the blood of police, calling out Starmer for not taking the knee for the victim, calling for protests ... we should be better than this.

I think some on the right were/are hoping to really stir things up with this case. There was a MN poster the other day advocating for a mob to descend on the relevant police station.

So as the OP was also accused of ‘stirring’ it seems that any other view other than the lefty view is ‘stirring’. If you’re not left, you’re far right apparently.

Nobody is baying for blood of the police. Is it not acceptable to hold them accountable?

Why shouldn't people protest? Would it be acceptable to protest if the victim was an ethnic minority and the murderer a white British man?

Was the protest for George Floyd acceptable to you?

We should be better than this?! Shame on you.

I was aware of this story when it happened because DS was a student at the University.
I am uneasy with the reporting because even when Digwa was found guilty the media still reported his (false) defence that he had been racially abused.
And the Police investigating themselves? Yeah. When arrested Nowak said 'I have been stabbed'. One officer replied 'no you haven't mate'. Bear in mind there was a trail of blood including a slash to Nowak's face.
He was 18. Just awful.

My son is also a student there. Both of us just couldn’t understand why it didn’t hit the news at the time. It was a very minor story. As opposes to the Nottingham
murders. It was very odd.

i understand that reporting has to be done carefully before it goes to court but this was very unusual.

If a victim is lying in a pool of blood, Whether racist words have been used, Is surely not the priority at that moment in time

Exactly my point

AndyBurnhamForPM · 30/05/2026 20:21

HermioneWeasley · 30/05/2026 16:31

He could have said the most awful unhinged racist shit to the killer and it wouldn’t justify being murdered.

you’re on another thread speculating that the police were racially abusing the perpetrators in the Manchester airport attack

you seem very confident that speculative racism justifies violent retaliation, in this case lethal violence.

Racism is violence.

It must NEVER be tolerated.

Yes, get the memo - only left wing beliefs are sincere and genuinely held, all others are ‘agenda’

FFS THERE WASN’T ANY RACISM

As uncomfortable as this is for you, the accusation was utterly false and played as a card by a man who thought his status as a person of colour would mean his poor murdered victim would be the one under suspicion

The only ‘racism’ was from the murderer toward his victim.

Dollymylove · 30/05/2026 20:25

I wonder why Starmer and his cronies havent taken the knee for Henry like they did for George Floyd......oh wait

How do you sleep at night? Do you sleep well, knowing you’ve done your best to throw mud at a murdered teenager while thinking the best of his depraved killer?

You’re despicable

No

Pieceofpurplesky · 30/05/2026 20:27

All over X/Twitter people are baying for the blood of the police. There have been death threats etc. A quick search will show this. Tommy Robinson asked for the names of them this morning, the responses were actually scary - it was mentioned that the police may be women and there were many responses about how they needed raping . Of course the police need to be held to account and there is an ongoing investigation as per the law of this country when someone dies in custody.

What would the protest be about? The law has been followed, a court case, the man found guilty etc. It does not matter the religion, colour or ethnicity of either victim or murderer. It has been dealt with as per the laws of this country - not in a two tier way, just dealt with. A police investigation is underway as to how the police behaved and I believe the officer have resigned. The sentencing for the murderer and those who aided and abetted him is pending.

We should be better than this. The country is so divided, I worry for my son, the kids I teach and society as a whole. I feel no shame for wanting a world where people don't hate so much.

With hindsight I think many people are uncomfortable with how the whole George Ffloyd thing played out but there are no comparisons in the two cases. This poor kid was murdered by someone with a knife whose parents and friends covered it up to change the narrative to the police - who need to be accountable to.

Twisterlollies · 30/05/2026 20:28

It does not matter the religion, colour or ethnicity of either victim or murderer.

Does this apply to poor Stephen Lawrence and Anthony Walker?

Answer: no, because in racist killings sadly these things DO matter.

Theunamedcat · 30/05/2026 18:40

The phone that was in the possession of his killer and had recorded the incident

The recorded incident only showed a few seconds and it could be argued that the white guy was provoking the killer by saying "you're a bad guy" - BUT it didn't show him being racist

There is no mitigation for stabbing someone multiple times in the chest, face and legs. Poor Henry was trying to climb over a fence to escape from the murderer.
Christ talk about fucking victim blaming!!

GoldThumb · 30/05/2026 19:56

This is exactly the problem.

We don’t know whether he was or wasn’t.

But there’s no evidence he was.

The police were sufficiently concerned they went through his phone.

With zero evidence.

The police had a narrative, and went above and beyond to try and prove their narrative. Without a shred of evidence.

‘I’ve been stabbed’

’I don’t think you have, mate’

Zero discernment. Zero attempt to critically look at the scenario in front of them.

They have blood on their hands

Yes - the police were very poor
