Heard of him? Probably not, because there seems to be an almost complete news blackout about him. Basically the police handcuffed him and let him bleed out because they thought he may have said something racist - he didn't, it was a lie told by his murderer. Henry was 18.

If he had been any other race it would have been in the media December and not only when the court case happened. I don’t care what religious reasons this bloke had for carrying a blade it’s against the law and had it have been the other way around there would have been headlines, outrage and protests straight away.

Wishing14 · 30/05/2026 19:11

It has become mainstream news because people made an effort to point out it hadn’t been previously.

5MinuteArgument · 30/05/2026 19:13

Hameth · 30/05/2026 17:08

Telegraph headlining it. Jenrick written an op-ed, big in Mail and Express.
Plus the woke media ie guardian.co.uk and bbc etc.
So plenty of coverage for what appears to be appalling tragedy. Hope murderer gets many many years and the Sikh community is discuss ling how to go forward with these particular knives

That's good to hear, because this exemption for carrying a knife for religious reasons is completely absurd.

JacknDiane · 30/05/2026 18:50

Be kind left my arse.

This is just someone with no fucking sense or decency.

Nothing to do with the left ffs

IMO it is the left to blame for promoting the woke society that we now seem to be stuck with.

SpareVanKeys · 30/05/2026 19:32

Theunamedcat · 30/05/2026 18:36

They are investigating themselves how is that fair

Exactly! The only thing that will come out of this eventually is the threadbare promise that ‘lessons will be learned’. They never are though.

CurlewKate · 30/05/2026 19:41

We do not have the details or the evidence. Whatever we’ve seen on the internet.

We don’t have the details or evidence of Stephen Lawrence’s murder either, in that case. Or anybody’s.

I agree, nobody should be the exception to the law.

The left has been in charge of Westminster government for less than two years, yet it is to blame for the current state of society?

SpareVanKeys · 30/05/2026 19:47

Police body cam footage could shed some light on this. Are they going to release it ?

Pieceofpurplesky · 30/05/2026 19:49

All the facts that can be reported have. It's an ongoing case and the police can't release body cam footage, photos etc as per the law of this country.
This tragic case that happened in December has been escalated by the likes of Elon Musk and Tommy Robinson trying to score right wing points. It's lucky they didn't end up getting the case kicked out with their bias. The amount of ignorance around the law when the charge of manslaughter was added to the list was ridiculous - happens in many cases but the armchair detectives were incensed on X!
The murderer was found guilty, he will be sentenced and as per the law in this country there will be an investigation.
Tommy Robinson calling for the police to be named and punished is not the right way to go.
People have forgotten that a young man has died, his family are devastated. It seems to have become an opportunity to score points.

I disagree that they’re ‘using’ this case. They’re right wing politicians, they’re no more ‘using’ it then the left use other crimes/murders (by whites) to further their own cause. A belief isn’t only sincere and genuinely held if it’s a left wing one.

I wouldn’t vote Reform in a million years but I find this double standard quite annoying.

Twisterlollies · 30/05/2026 19:53

I think releasing the body cam video of a dying man so it circles the internet forever and retraumatises his friends and family to satisfy the public would be a mistake.

GoldThumb · 30/05/2026 19:56

AndyBurnhamForPM · 30/05/2026 16:16

It was a terrible case and the police made some awful mistakes.

BUT we don't know whether he did or didn't racially abuse the killer.

We just know there was no evidence that he did - I understand the police were sufficiently concerned that he was racist that they looked through his phone for any evidence of racism.

If he had been racist then there could be a case of self defence.

But we will never know the truth.

None of this excuses the police for appalling incompetence.

This is exactly the problem.

We don’t know whether he was or wasn’t.

But there’s no evidence he was.

The police were sufficiently concerned they went through his phone.

With zero evidence.

The police had a narrative, and went above and beyond to try and prove their narrative. Without a shred of evidence.

‘I’ve been stabbed’

’I don’t think you have, mate’

Zero discernment. Zero attempt to critically look at the scenario in front of them.

They have blood on their hands

If it exonerates them then yes. So, no it will never see the light of day.

I think some on the right were/are hoping to really stir things up with this case. There was a MN poster the other day advocating for a mob to descend on the relevant police station.

Did they say ‘I don’t think you have mate’??? If so that’s utterly appalling. That poor lad.

Well obviously that shouldn’t happen.

But you can’t say the only sincere beliefs are left wing ones and any right wing person concerned about this is ‘using it for their own gain’.

This ties in with their (IMO incorrect) assertion about two tier policing. So why wouldn’t they publicise it?

Yes, dragged across the floor and cuffed, mocked and left to bled out 😔

Even after he died they tried to trawl through his phone to paint him as a racist to justify themselves.

Three of the officers have since ‘left’ the force.

Fucking bastards.

They deserve criminal charges

Reading the posts by @GoldThumbthus seems to overlook the police reaction to a young man who had been stabbed, and then died.

You’re right, the shift to liberal/woke attitude was there in David Cameron’s Tory party but this government have signed, sealed and delivered and this is where it’s getting us.
