Heard of him? Probably not, because there seems to be an almost complete news blackout about him. Basically the police handcuffed him and let him bleed out because they thought he may have said something racist - he didn't, it was a lie told by his murderer. Henry was 18.

I don't think you understand what I am saying.

It is possible to recognise and condemn the fact that the killer ruthlessly tried to use a false accusation of racism and that the police initially believed him.

It is also possible, at the same time, to recognise and condemn the fact that the usual suspects are using this case to further their cause of sowing division.

What is ‘sowing division’ in your book?

Was it sowing division when other racist murders were reacted to with revulsion on account of the fact they were racist?

JuliaBraverman · 30/05/2026 21:04

Any posters on this thread who have not expressed utter outrage at the killer, the police and the absolute mess we are in, are so brainwashed by political correctness that there is no hope for us if they are the majority. I just really hope they are not.

Ipsevenenabibas · 30/05/2026 20:55

Isn't it obvious?

Maybe idk. It seems any emotion over an 18 year old student suffering fatal stab wounds while handcuffed and wrongly accused is replaced by the usual lines - ‘culture wars’ or ‘weaponising’.

No heart for the teen who died. Just attack lines.

No, all it tells me is that you’re happy to let the race aspect slide if the victim is white and reframe it completely, but if the victim is not white then you’re more in your comfort zone.

The killer made this about race, not us

I disagree and am maybe not expressing myself well. The original comment was made to one about protests about the young man's murder and my point was that race, in this case, was irrelevant as the case was already in court and protests would have been futile. Had their races been swapped I would feel the same. There is no need for protest as it is being dealt with by the laws of this country.
I am confident enough in myself to know what I mean and that my fear for society is for all people regardless of race. We live in a society where a tragedy like this has been turned in to a pantomime and I am sure his parents don't need this alongside losing their child.

Pantomime…how disrespectful

Anyahyacinth · 30/05/2026 21:08

Twisterlollies · 30/05/2026 20:57

But do their excuses result in the victim being handcuffed while bleeding to death?

You think this is a first?

People with epilepsy ...arrested ...left to die.

People diabetic...having a diabetic crisis ...left to die

People in mental health crisis ....shot or restrained in a way that causes their death

People with learning disabilities unable to explain themselves...deaths in custody.

Look at Inquest for the deaths in custody.

That people who want to be racist are using this to say look things are against us ...is the only exceptional thing here...people die in custody, from illness and injury. Its part of the frightening power of the police (that has to be monitored)

Forrdige · 30/05/2026 21:09

Twisterlollies · 30/05/2026 20:25

FFS THERE WASN’T ANY RACISM

As uncomfortable as this is for you, the accusation was utterly false and played as a card by a man who thought his status as a person of colour would mean his poor murdered victim would be the one under suspicion

The only ‘racism’ was from the murderer toward his victim.

It’s fucked up that a lie was made up and people are still perpetrating it. Blaming the victim and believing the lying killer. Fucking appalling.

No it isn't sowing division to react with revulsion to any murder, racist or otherwise. You just aren't getting it. But perhaps you don't want to. So I will leave it there.

But it has - look at some of the comments on here and on X. The parents don't need this. Society has lost all notion of respect.
Pantomime may be the wrong word - but farcical, crazy - a young man died and it becomes a tit for tat social media argument.

How can you not be upset by an 18 year old student who hadn’t committed a crime, stabbed, handcuffed saying I can’t breathe

Oh no ...don't you do that. This murder is appalling.

I just don't look at the perpetrator and try and use their religion or race ...to say that they are less than me. That would be trampling the victim to USE them.

To take what happened to a university student and apply my racist agenda. 1 murderer and their demographics have nothing to do with this appalling loss of life

The comments on here just express utter disbelief that an 18 year old university student was knifed to death and the police chose to believe his killer because he was Sikh and had reported racism. That’s not disrespect

newfriend05 · 30/05/2026 21:17

@Pieceofpurpleskyhow can anyone /you say race was not an issue in this case, it was the whole issue as his killer made an allegation that Henry had racially abused him do you think he would’ve killed another Sikh…

I disagree. His demographic meant he was allowed to carry a sword/knife!

Can’t you just be upset at a young person treated so badly? Hopefully most people are.

FrizzyFrizbee · 30/05/2026 17:06

Utterly ridiculous. Digwa also denied stabbing Novak in the first place.

You say: “BUT we don't know whether he did or didn't racially abuse the killer.”

😡😡😡😡🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

Wow! Just WOW!

Have you ANY idea how thoroughly warped, disgusting, disingenuous and dishonest your post comes across, when a lad has been brutally stabbed multiple times, to his tragic death by a man who ‘just happened’ to be carrying a 21 inch blade?

I could go on. I suggest you go and have several strong words with yourself, and maybe you should be reported to Prevent with attitudes like yours.

It was his pathetic criminal excuse. Apart from that we know nothing about his motivation

Pieceofpurplesky · 30/05/2026 21:23
  • *Some do. Some, sadly, have been much less so. And I agree with your point of view on the thread. I am ill at the moment and have been down a rabbit hole on X about this case and it's become horrific (I posted earlier about tweets calling for the rape of the female officer involved). People distrust the law - I get it. But this has been taken to court, the murderers comments about racism dismissed and he's been found guilty. There is an investigation in to the police. It's a huge issue that race was used as an excuse by an evil excuse for a human - even worse that his family tried to cover for him. You and I are on the same side that this is fucking disgraceful. I just hate that it has become a political (all sides) football.
newfriend05 · 30/05/2026 21:25

@Pieceofpurplesky The motivation for what have you not read about the case or are you just too Work for your own fucking good?

newfriend05 · 30/05/2026 21:29

I tried

dyzzie · 30/05/2026 21:29

Agreed.. it’s a very muted news response presumably driven by the government.
Let’s be honest if this boy was a different demographic it would be front and centre. What is with this so called ‘2 tiered news coverage’ ?
