Henry Nowak

Heard of him? Probably not, because there seems to be an almost complete news blackout about him. Basically the police handcuffed him and let him bleed out because they thought he may have said something racist - he didn't, it was a lie told by his murderer. Henry was 18.

I don't know what you mean by 'the motivation for what you have not read on the thread'
sorry.
@JuliaBravermanI got that bit!

Anyahyacinth · 30/05/2026 21:23

It was his pathetic criminal excuse. Apart from that we know nothing about his motivation

We don’t know anything about the motivations of other racist murders either, if what you’re looking for is a written manifesto or something like that?

Pieceofpurplesky · 30/05/2026 21:33

@newfriend05it was @Anyahyacinthwho posted about motivation, she just quoted me
As far as I am concerned his motivation was being an evil fucker and his use of racism as an excuse a bloody disgrace that I hope adds years to his and his families sentences

dyzzie · 30/05/2026 21:29

Agreed.. it’s a very muted news response presumably driven by the government.
Let’s be honest if this boy was a different demographic it would be front and centre. What is with this so called ‘2 tiered news coverage’ ?

Yes

newfriend05 · 30/05/2026 21:36

@Pieceofpurplesky I don’t understand how you can not see how this case is not about race , Henry was arrested and not believed that he had been stabbed because his killer had said he had been racially abused the whole case is about race. They didn’t listen to Henry until he collapsed because of the police were more interested about racial abuse. And even then the police went through his phone to check if anything racial abusive was on it, to see if they had a case for self-defence it’s wrong, they dragged that poor boy across the street and if the body cam shows the police in the bad light that footage will never see the light of day .

We know the perpetrator made excuses ....they do...this is what criminals do.

We know the victim called him 'a bad man' etc. .there was an argument between them and it was recorded. Trying to use the awful death of an 18 year old to pursue an agenda is disgusting and disrespectful too

Trying to take the actions of 1 criminal and apply that to all people of the same religion or background is racism

As I have said (badly probably as unwell) my comment about race initially was about pointless protests, in response to another poster. They were taken out of context and this spiralled in to a pile on where I am trying (again badly probably) explain my fear about a polarised world.

His use of race to try and get away with murder is a bloody disgrace. I have never said anything different.

People see what they want to see. Confirmation bias. Cognitive dissonance. etc.

Being awake to inequality must stop?

I don't think so

Police training needs to be reconfigured. They've become so frightened of being accused of racism that they can't see what's happening with their own eyes. That's why the grooming gang scandal went on unchallenged for years in many cities and towns across the UK because they wanted to preserve community cohesion.

Trouble is it has the opposite affect.

It does have the opposite effect doesn’t it.

Barbadossunset · 30/05/2026 21:48

Three of the officers have since ‘left’ the force.
Fucking bastards.
They deserve criminal charges

Elon Musk has offered to pay Henry’s family’s legal fees if they wish to bring a private prosecution.

TooBigForMyBoots · 30/05/2026 21:50

Anyahyacinth · 30/05/2026 21:02

There are huge studies at the minute about men getting away with murder claiming the woman participated in their strangling requested and enjoyed it...criminals do and say criminal things ...it doesn't mean we have to start saying...well we must react to make it relate to every person in that group...so in this case every Sikh...this person was a murderer. The vast majority are not.
The police acted on the information they had, they have referred themselves for investigation.

Its not an excuse to say white people are additionally victimised ...because they aren't.

💯

How may deaths has it caused which have received no attention? Keeping problems under wraps for community cohesion? We are doomed

We are a globalised world ..being frightened and wanting to feel like a superior race is the problem posed by this thread.

All societies have criminals.

Using the murder of this young student for a wish to make racist extrapolations based on the excuses of ONE criminal is racism.

He made excuses, he was found out, he was convicted.

The victim had a horrendous death it's tragic. The pathologist said his injuries were unsurvivable...the police have repeated this.

It would be positive to build a better less divided society as a response. Not hate whole groups for no reason.

Most families of the victims of crime want this too, they don't want people using the death of their loved one for their agenda. They want their loss honoured.

The point being why was Henry not believed over the killer? Who was being racist then? If you’re trying to call me a racist in a roundabout way, you are very wrong.

I am upset to learn of this murder. Heartbreaking and agree any police involved should be sacked and tried in court. They let a perfectly decent citizen died to protect a murderer. Does not feel safe to live in this country.

KittyTinker · 30/05/2026 22:07

I had no idea that Sikhs could carry ceremonial daggers and had to look up what would happen when he goes to prison. He will be able to carry a comb with an engraving of the knife in it. However a Sikh who worked as a prison guard for CERCO took them to tribunal because he wasn’t allowed to carry one at work, and Sikh prison Chaplins are allowed them.

Possibly because Henry Nowak was a foreigner and the suspect was British?

As I explained upthread the police arrive AFTER events and have to make judgements ...it is not uncommon for victims to be arrested.

It is a natural consequence of police officers being human and ... sometimes making mistakes.

Why someone would want to use this mistake and their motivation to change. .....to what ?? A presumption in favour of who? A specific race?

The police officers were there they must have reasons ...which will be explained ...if not accepted, then those events / findings can be challenged

Musk is another one peddling the lie regarding a media blackout where there is none, in order to inflame a culture war.
