I’m glad it’s cooler today after trying to keep a baby comfortable in this heat.

That gives me the absolute rage too. To the point I’ve contacted various media outlets by email asking for more balanced, neutral and factual reporting. When you already feel like giving up and not going anywhere for fear of heat stroke it just adds insult to injury.

In the Midlands too and gutted. Five minutes of thunder and rain and finally felt happier than I have for over a week and then the revolting sun and heat has returned. I’ve mentally prepared myself that this is it now until probably mid October and that the chances of a compensatory crisp autumn and winter are about as remote as me accessing Saturn.

Unfortunately I’m working as normal. I’m a fitness trainer (hence the otherwise healthy until the heat hits and shattering the myth that only unhealthy people get ill in the heat) and felt sick after almost every session this week and this morning I was getting very concerned for some people I was training. As my name would suggest I’m originally from Wales but even there no escape from the heat, which is deeply worrying as I would never have believed Wales would end up so hot.

Temperatures are going to tumble right down from midnight tonight and from Sunday we'll be back to under 20C for the whole week, so that will be very nice after this.

Only 12 hours to go . . .

I went from Penarth to Cleveland on a tourist boat in August in 04 and it was boiling hot then.
The Welsh were surprised to have such a nice summer, but it wasn’t as hot as this.

Is it sad that everyone is just wishing their lives away and all they say on the radio is this is it now , no let up in heat with warmer winters as well. It is so flipping depressing isn’t it.

For the love of actual freaking god....I placed an order for my food shopping last night and several on Amazon too....now it keeps asking me to reverify my payment method for all my orders on there/the online shopping app etc....my card is due to expire soon but not until the end of next month.. And when I tried to request a new card from my bank sooner via their app, it wouldn't let me and gives me an error message repeatedly.

I'm literally THIS close to throwing my phone out the window....I cannot be dealing with this rubbish right now, in this heat!! What the hell is going on!? 😡😡😡

Where I am, it's going to be hot tomorrow here too! Still predicted to be 29C.

On Tuesday this week Alexa - and also my weather app- predicted the drop in temperature by Thursday. (Yesterday.) They said it would be 24C, then 22C by Friday (today) and 20C by Saturday.

Yet it was 33-34C yesterday, (Thursday,) and not 24C! And it's due to go up to 33C today. (Not 22C as predicted a few days ago.) And as I say, tomorrow is due to be 29C. It will probably be 31-32C though, as it has been 2-3C higher than predicted. Every time.

It's lasting longer than predicted - (North Midlands I am.)

I don't have a computer, so on my phone, but I've literally never, ever had this kind of issue on this scale before.

Its freezing and raining in NZ - bring it on!

What would garner a better result would be someone going into their TV studios and knobbling their air conditioning

34 degrees at 1pm in the midlands. Fucking bored of this shit now. Next year I WILL have air con. Fucking inhumane.

I put some rubbish out a little while ago so it didn't start smelling and some crazy person was outside mowing their lawn at midday...in 36 feels like 42 degrees heat with VERY HIGH UV warnings currently.... absolutely insanity, of ALL the days to choose to do it this week? 🤣

I have dim opinions of people who do that. Especially with a petrol mower as that’s adding to an already hot atmosphere, as well as removing precious greenery we need for trying to cool things down!

I'm in Essex and I think we only get a very slight reduction in temperatures on Sunday

I debated going out in search of aircon. I still could, but I can't find the energy to go out. I slept so badly I'm still at the stage of falling over my feet a bit.
