A chat thread for those who don't like this Labour government. 💙* *

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

My fear now is that Starmer attempts to use tomorrow’s inevitable market volatility to repeat his ‘chaos’ narrative - propped up by Reeves.

He might try, but I think its too late for him.
Listening to a few MPs tonight, they've stopped listening to him. When the herd moves, it moves.

I think it may be finally moving

Oh wow, that has moved. Jesus, when all this is finished can we get West a proper job in the government, she seems to be the only one capable of getting things done?

NoWordForFluffy · 11/05/2026 21:05

Now, this looks to be rather more sensible than the current economic plans of Labour: news.sky.com/story/cut-employee-national-insurance-to-win-back-voters-labour-report-says-13542790

She triggered Boris Johnson's downfall too iirc. At least she's not partisan 😂

They are all currently in the Downing Street bunker ( ie they’ve gone to the mattresses ) 😀😀

Yeh I think it’s too late. They all salivated over doing it last time so what goes around comes around and all that.

A rumour that four cabinet ministers are going to approach him

Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse from his point of view....

He'll probably say that the request to resign never crossed his desk 😂

The only way Labour will save themselves now for the longterm is if they target working class people and smash the cost of living.
They also need to look at what mess they are leaving our youngsters.
This could be the start of us taking back control and having more of a say on government priorities including welfare and foreign aid. We have had enough.

Hallowedturf · 11/05/2026 21:19

I just hope that Reeves follows Starmer out.

The damage she has caused.

Yes, not quite the regretful retreat to the shadows that some had hoped.

Agreed.
She clarified to Politico that there was a clerical error in her letter today apparently. She wants Starmer gone by September, not in September.* *
