A chat thread for those who don't like this Labour government. 💙* *

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

For some reason, I keep picturing the human ring-binder revving himself up this morning - looking in the bathroom mirror, in his y-fronts.

’You’re a tiger’ - replete with roaring etc.

I can’t shake the image…

😂

CaveMum · Yesterday 09:08

I shouted at the radio in the car on the school run (making the kids jump 🤣) when Reeves said this mornings results showed the economy was growing “strongly”.

Strongly?! It’s 0.5%! Bloody hell, talk about a low bar!

EasternStandard · Yesterday 09:10

Name below should have been Chris Curtis. So much going on

Yes I heard that.
Its over for Starmer, he's already being referred to in the past tense. Yet he clings on!

Al Cairns (armed forces minister) throwing his hat in if a contest is triggered. This could all look very different by the end of today.

Politics + driving is dodgy for me too 😂

Someone just needs to trigger it. They’re all keen but waiting, come on Wes pull off the plaster

15 minutes until the NHS figures come out, so he might do it after that.

You didn't have to bloody share it! 😩

What a sorry line up .
I honestly don't know who I dread more , red ed , I'm just ange or sleezy streeting.

Not forgetting Mad Ed, whose reported intention is to shut the North Sea oil fields permanently.

@Hallowedturf, Ha,ha,ha,ha,ha!

“You’re a tiger”, he then growls whilst making claw hands at his image. Sexy!

This guy springs to mind!

Times Radio has been great. They were laughing over bollard and said maybe he could be one of those receding bollards that go down 😬

They also said the whole 24 hour not allowing use of base being spun as a moral crusade was ludicrous.

I missed Al Carns though, he’s getting a lot of positive stuff, will try to listen.

Nuthatch26 · Yesterday 09:56

I concur, been listening this morning too. Al Carns hasn't been on, just reporting that he said he will run.

I was cheering when Stig spoke about the 24 hour delay becoming a moral crusade. Brilliant stuff this morning.

My dislike of Labour as a whole aside, the idea of an actual grown up like Al Carns running makes me feel a bit better, but sadly he’s far too sensible for the likes of the current backbenchers.

As an ex-RM he’ll take no shit from anyone and will have an incredibly thick skin. I hope he’s given a decent position in the next Cabinet.

DancingFerret · Yesterday 10:05

True to form, Starmer took the coward's way out and left No.10 by the back exit this morning.

I don't think he'll get very far tbh, but he's less batshit than the others I suppose. He might end up as defence secretary though when this is all over.
He backed the troubles bill - not a good look for an armed forces minister. Kemi will be very willing to push that bruise.

Oh really there were so many messages coming in saying how great he was I thought he’d spoken 😬

Idk much about him but he’ll face issues against left numbers.

GiaGia16 · Yesterday 10:20

What is happening next, what are we waiting for? Is it a “you go first” scenario?

No, after you!

Just to add, my dd heard Al Carn's name on the radio this morning. She recognised his name from SM. He has posted videos of himself weight training according to dd. 😂

They’re all frantically ringing around to see if they have 81 backers?

I think Wes must be trying to gather the 81 Labour MPs signatures that are needed. Or he just likes drama. Or he has bottled it 😆

I’m getting nothing done here this morning, just refreshing various sources of news for #WesWatch and following a tribunal in Manchester via Tribunal Tweets.
