There is so much anger at what this government have done.

God yes, I’ve seen this in the past. It’s never a great look, blaming the electorate for not liking your party enough to vote for them.

I think the contest is between Labour and Lib Dem where I live. The Lib Dem candidate is the only one who came to see us (or at least the only one who came while we were in) and she said that she was only 111 votes down at the last one.
