Wow I’m shocked to see the they the US has largely capitulated it seems. The 10 point plan that they’re working from allows Iran to charge for passage through the Strait, to keep the enriched uranium and for a withdrawal of US forces. it’s the same plan that the Us previously said was unacceptable. I can’t see how this is anything other than a huge win for Iran. I can’t only assume that Trump was seriously warns by Comgress that they would draw a line at the level of war crimes proposed and he needed a face saving way out.

Did it? Iran appear to have received everything they asked for including tolling the Strait. We’re in a substantially worse position than prior to the war as this money will go straight to ballistics with a much more hardline regime. This is a disaster.

do you really think we're going to be able to extricate ourselves from our reliance on US medical, technology, fuel, agricultural and defence products, alliances and partnerships at the drop of a hat or even long term. We will not rock the boat. This is about global diplomacy and cooperation. Hence why the King is going there on a charm offensive. To smooth the troubled waters and try to regain some equilibrium.

Just because the current US president has taken leave of his senses, does not mean we throw away an alliance that has served us well as a country for generations. Partnerships go through turbulence, like any relationships. It does go to show how fragile things are to put all the power into the hands of a few people.
