Trump is more likely to back down than the Iranians. His attention span is nanoseconds, his long term planning non existent and need for immediate wins and gratification overwhelming. Trump wants an uprising to overthrow the Iranian government or for the regime to stand aside. There is no sign this will happen and after the slaughter of protestors earlier this year there doesn't seem to be much appetite for it in Iran. Trump is an appalling human being.
