Trump unhinged, but isn’t anyone else very concerned about the fact Iran are obviously much more capable, militarily, than the world thought? They’ve been holding themselves well against America’s onslaught, when many thought they would be on their knees within 48 hours of America’s attack. I mean, the fact they’re lining up just women and children as human chains in front of Iranian focal points pretty much sums up how evil the Iranian regime is. Where are the men? I’m sure not all are fighting….

He is probably means it now, but will come out with some excuse as to why he hasn't done anything in about 5 hours. I expect if he attempted there will be a military coup if he tries the nuclear weapons. His only negotiation skill is brinkmanship but I suspect he has met his match in the Iranians.

Given that the Lady of the House is the sensible one, I would recommend quietly stocking up on enough essentials to get you & your's through at least a week without scrambling to the nearest shop one minute after opening.

Not suggesting to hoard - just do a bigger shop twice, say. If affordable of course.

Even when the Straits of Hormuz are opened again, those big ladies of the sea sail at around 15Kts. It will be 5 weeks before new oil hits European & UK refineries. And both cargo aircraft & general cargo ships need that refined oil for their own fuel.

I read somewhere JD Vance and Trump don't agree on the way this war has gone. You have to wonder if he's waiting in the wings. Trump does appear erratic recently.

It’s being reported in a few places such as the Independent that the Pakistan prime minister Sharif has asked Trump to extend his deadline by two weeks, and has asked Iran leaders to open the Straight of Hormuz for the same period, as a goodwill gesture.

Pakistan has been a key mediator between Iran and the US and they are both apparently reviewing the request.

Oh and what another surprise. The American stock market had a rather convenient big upward surge just 10 minutes before closing.

The Iranian regime is abominable, we agree on that.

But sending in ground troops would just result in the terrible slaughter of young people on all sides. Who would you envisage joining such a coalition apart from the US and Israel? I don't think many other countries
