The King of Crazytown Can't Control The Chaos - Trump Thread #159

“Whether you’re a military analyst or a political analyst, whether you’re in the Democratic or Republican party, there’s a reality here. Donald Trump has met the moment of truth. The kind of fictional life that he’s led and evoked over the last four or five decades has now been unmasked as a deadly drama. It’s going to cost the lives of so many people. It’s going to devastate the US economy and the regional economy. It’s going to set back America and its standing in the world. It’s a horrific moment.”
Larry Jacobs, director of the Center for the Study of Politics and Governance at the University of Minnesota.

You know, I'm beginning to wonder about the true source of his insanity. Is this dementia? Is it simply ego?

Or could this be what happens when a malignant narcissist actually encounters a brick wall behind the word 'No' that isn't going away. And where he's hearing more criticism than praise. I'm speaking of the other countries who are telling him to basically fuck off. And although I know he's surrounded himself with 'yes-people' his approval rating is in the toilet, MAGA is falling apart, many in positions of power in the US are criticizing him, a lot of things he wants are not being carried out or are being voted down, and there are massive No Kings rallies.

And there is no 'escape hatch' for the debacle that is this war with Iran without basically admitting he made a huge mistake. He's never been in this position before, of having no way out. In his business dealings he's always either attained his goal (legally or illegally) and been praised to the skies or he's declared bankruptcy and walked away basically unscathed.

So, when irresistible force meets immovable object, are we thinking that irresistible force goes insane?

Whom Gods destroy ...

Ach. Roman soldiers were too knacked from building walls and roads.

I mean come on. what did the Romans ever do for us ?

And decimating.
I love how we can joke about things on this thread.🤗 I would salute you all, but Elon kind of spoiled that for me.

Egotists, sociopaths and psychopaths can all get dementia. The family involved can be very distant when this happens - anger against loved ones is something that happens and particularly frightening if the person is the first three words above.

I believe there's a form of dementia where self control is affected and extremes of a personality type that is already there, come to the fore.

Did the Romans invade Britain or were they actually invited to help solve a problem within local areas? (And then realised it was a shit place apart from London, Londinium, and Chichester, Noviomagus Reginorum.)

Well the sanitised story is that they were "invited" to help restore a usurped chief from a tribe that was pro Roman. (Sound familiar ?).

But in for a penny and all that. Anyway two things can be true at the same time.

Caesar basically "did a Trump" and having done a bit of butt-kicking on his second attempt (less said about the first the better) claimed he had obtained the submission of Britannia on his return to Rome.

Maddeningly (unless you write historical fiction) we know so little about 54BCE-42CE. I'd love to imagine the British tribes hearing about Caligula and saying "pay tribute to that loon ??????".

The paucity of documentation has led to this myth that Britain was somehow a backwater. Which isn't borne out by the unique archaeology thrown up over the past centruy.

From personal experience, I am very 🤔about the "diagnosis" of dementia as a way to explain away cuntish behaviour.

When you find out someone who is a total cunt at the age of 80 was a total cunt at the age of 60 and has had a 20 year free pass because everyone worried it was "dementia" it colours your view.

To paraphrase Freud, sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. Has there ever been a time when Trump has not been a weapons grade bellend ? That's your answer right there.

PerkingFaintly · 05/04/2026 18:05

I know this is beating a dead horse, but the disparity in how mainstream media treated Biden vs how they're treating Trump is truly astonishing. The NYT on their live news feed initially sanitised the truth by omitting part of it, although I see they've now quoted the whole thing. The sanewashing is next level.

Indeed.

Well. I have just seen what Chuck Schumer said. And I really hope the media "sanitized" it. Because the way I read it he is basically saying "boys will be boys, Happy Holiday"

And I think the countries speaking out and telling him to fuck off could really do with a bit of help from the dems. I totally get it of course that you know that.

"Happy Easter, America. As you head off to church and celebrate with friends and family, the President of the United States is ranting like an unhinged madman on social media. He's threatening possible war crimes and alienating allies. This is who he is, but this is not who we are. Our country deserves so much better."

Could it be that he is a product of the US political system ? And I am not really singling the US out here, because essentially democracy with universal suffrage is a really new invention, so this was bound to happen ?. It's just first in the US at this scale.

I think once democracy and liberal society gets to a "steady state" position, where the needs of the masses are largely sorted, politics is bound to become an oscillation between similar political parties tweaking things at the edges. Change is small and imperceptible. And along comes a Trump, just as the Overton window has settled at a 50-50 electorate. And that means the minority who hanker for big change can gain power.

I suspect the system is the issue, not the individual man.

A place can be vibrant and shit as well. The sanitised story is just as truthful as the gossip, Suetonius being a big hateful feck turd of a gossip who would probably be on GB News.

Deva Victrix has the most complete Roman wall in the UK but is known for its mock Tudor architecture built in the Victorian era. (Chester).

Suetonius being a big hateful feck turd of a gossip who would probably be on GB News

Yes, it's strange how just because someone was writing a few hundred years ago what he writes gets taken to be true. All the (Latin) stuff about the druids is almost certainly rubbish, for instance, and the people who wrote the histories of the "worst" emperors of Rome did it from the opposition benches and after the emperor in question was safely dead.

Edited to add: much of what is in the history books probably belongs in the equivalent of the pages of the Sunday Sport. Look at Thomas More on Richard III for an example: I don't think he ever meant it to be seriously thought that Richard was two years in the womb and emerged with a full head of hair. It was satire! but people took it as true because they were essentially Magarats.

It didn't stop them knocking a big chunk out of the walls in the 1960s to put a dual carriageway/flyover in.

Frontotemperal dementia. I heard it being explained yesterday. Alzheimers diminishes the person, the disappear inside themselves. With this one they get bigger and bigger as they lose inhibitions, empathy and control. Like a drunk without alcohol.

I don’t think being a weapons grade bell end is protective against dementia though.

entirely possible that he’s always been as thick as pigshit and a weapons grade bell end but also age, genetics and a reasonable chance of tertiary syphillis mean he also has dementia. And any form of dementia affecting the frontal lobe will affect social inhibition and make him a bigger bell end.

I’d imagine he might also score fairly highly on the psychopathy scale.

MTG's response to Trump's Easter message.
https://x.com/FmrRepMTG/status/2040789438494585175?s=20

On Easter morning, this is what President Trump posted. Everyone in his administration that claims to be a Christian needs to fall on their knees and beg forgiveness from God and stop worshipping the President and intervene in Trump’s madness. I know all of you and him and he has gone insane, and all of you are complicit. I’m not defending Iran but let’s be honest about all of this. The Strait is closed because the US and Israel started the unprovoked war against Iran based on the same nuclear lies they’ve been telling for decades, that any moment Iran would develop a nuclear weapon. You know who has nuclear weapons? Israel. They are more than capable of defending themselves without the US having to fight their wars, kill innocent people and children, and pay for it.
Trump threatening to bomb power plants and bridges hurts the Iranian people, the very people Trump claimed he was freeing. On Easter, of all days, we as Christians should be reminded that the son of God died and rose from the grave so that we can be forgiven once and for all of our sins. Jesus commanded us to love one another and forgive one another. Even our enemies. Our President is not a Christian and his words and actions should not be supported by Christians. Christians in the administration should be pursuing peace. Urging the President to make peace. Not escalating war that is hurting people. This NOT what we promised the American people when they overwhelmingly voted in 2024, I know, I was there more than most. This is not making America great again, this is evil.
