Very happy as I can't stand him

To be honest, the BBC has lost it's position in national Radio. I listen to Dave Berry on Absolute now, he's a breath of fresh air and very natural with listeners. The BBC seem to think celebs/comedians off the telly are a good idea on Radio. They aren't - some don't even know what music they are playing. Go back to identifying DJ's with musical knowledge, a good rapport with listeners and not rely on 'celebs'.

I’m sure you could have managed to just say “gay” without your “politically correct head on”. It actually took you more time and effort to type “a gay boy”.

I do not care who the new host will be - as long as they don't get saddled with Richie Anderson.

I do have an off button and have turns off SM breakfast because it was so bland and boring. That ridiculous quiz with the fake pleading - oh it made me cringe for the contestant.

Gosh that is actually interesting news. I have R2 on at work all day (apart from the breakfast show) and didn't enjoy Scott Mills in his afternoon slot (because I liked Steve Wright. Yes, don't @ me.)

But I know when he got the BS he was absolutley ecstatic, like his childhood dreams had come true. I always thought he was a DJ through and through (rather than coming in from another medium like a lot of R2 DJs) so I would have thought he would have been super careful with his precious opportunity. Yikes.

came on here to see what it could be?! I’m genuinely shocked! I had grown to like his show. Love Gary davis - fed up of tv talent going on radio (Looking at you, Emma Willis). It’s just not the same set of skills!

I’m guessing it’s a Philip Schofield type of offence and Beeb don’t want to go down that route and have it hanging in gossip columns for ages. If it is a young person I’m sure he/parents have learned from PS lad (forget his name) and are probably threatening all sorts legally if he wasn’t sacked.

Ooft - wonder what he's done? It must be bad. I switched R2 off in the morning when he took over, hopefully someone good will take over. I quite like Gary Davies, I think he'd be a good fit - as long as it's not Richie Anderson or Paddy McGuiness 🙏

We’re a 6 Music house but I really like Scott Mills and am sorry to hear this. I’d wager he’s more likely been caught with “inappropriate substances” at work than any sort of sexual misconduct though.
