A chat thread for those who don't like this Labour government. 💙* *

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

Yeah, keeping Lammy as hidden as possible isn't a surprise to anyone! 🤣

😂😂 yes I was really polite about that because I was typing in a hurry

But I thought one of the reasons for changing him over was that they needed somebody decent as Foreign Secretary

I would've thought that Cooper would be fine?

EasternStandard · 13/04/2026 11:18

I suppose Starmer moves into that role because he’s chasing any poll bounce he can get.

The last one when he got all photo oppy about ‘planes in the air and boots in the ground’. The committed Labour lot loved that too.

Of course no matter what he says it’s all lines, the ‘coalition of the willing’ was posturing for headlines and the recent “we” got a ceasefire is nonsense.

I’m surprised anyone buys his rhetoric still.

All politicians do it, I wish they wouldn't. Even Kemi has done the same recently. Posing with tanks etc. That was before she u-turned though, tbf.

For obvious reasons I've lost count of the times I've exclaimed "Bloody Trump" over the past six weeks, but also because a probably unintended consequence of his actions is the focus and heat seems to have been removed from Starmer et al.

The upcoming election still attracts media attention and commentary, but when it comes to Starmer the focus tends to be on his ability to leap on any passing plane at the drop of a hat rather than the expected (and much hoped for) number of seats Labour will lose.

Well done. I did Lidl today walking the whole store and was happy

SapphireCasino · 13/04/2026 18:04

@justasking111 good for you! Some of those Lidls are fricking huge 😂

I don't like supermarket shopping. I know some people love it. But I always tend to nip to the smallest store possible! I avoid the huge ones! Well, I did in London anyway. Round here, I'll go if I'm nearby, but that's at the retail park so it's rare.

I've no idea how much someone would have paid to have this artwork on their van, but it certainly shows the depth of feeling against KS.

@DancingFerret amusing piece of artwork

But quite strange

I genuinely wonder if that was part of a paid political campaign. Actually getting that put on your van is pretty excessive.

DancingFerret · 13/04/2026 19:21

Could be a paid campaign, but for which party I wonder? There are a few sharks circling.

Yes on here you’d think he was still well liked. But no, he’s fairly despised.

There are some Labour 'super fans' on my local Facebook pages. They make me 🙄 as they've clearly been told by the local party (they're all members) to clap like sea lions at every little thing!

Edited

Once they’ve done clapping over breakfast clubs, I struggle to thing what else might be there.

There’s only so much one can enthuse about soggy toast and jam.

Local stuff, like the pier, and something else which escapes me. A whole wealth of government funding announced for various projects just before the locals. 🤔

There were a load of muppets clapping about the new ideas for SEND provision the other day. Which basically seems to be 'force them all into mainstream even if they can't cope'.

@DancingFerret I saw that article rabbit droppings
It's really getting vicious out there for him.

I hated the way he addressed kemi today

It's no more than he deserves; he's a deeply unpleasant man (I use the term loosely).

Agree with @DancingFerretand you that he deserves it.

I can’t listen to him whatsoever but I can imagine how revolting he is being.
