A chat thread for those who don't like this Labour government. 💙* *

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

He didn't say that to rishi ?
Just how short is rishi ?
Well I don't feel so guilty then!!
Agree dancing stameer is coming up short in every way and he was on holidays as was Healey ??

He did say that yes. PMQs January 2023.

Sunak is 5'6"/5'7" according to Google.

In other news it's extremely worrying that Russia has been getting very close to our underwater cables !

Yeah, very worrying.
Call me a cynic, but why announce this with full fanfair while Starmer is in the ME? Odd timing.

Just when you thought the world couldn’t get much scarier you find the navy has been tracking Russian stealth submarines…it’s not quite coming over as reassuring as one might think given what the first sea lord has said about the state of our navy.

I mean, if Starmer is 5'8", then there isn't really much difference between the two of them. Uncalled for, as well as a little foolish, given his aspirations at the time!

5'8" is quite short next to me (I'm 5'11"), but I'd never make jibes about someone's height.

Nothing particularly new, and going off the final lines in the report a bit harsh on giraffes.

Asked what sort of animal Starmer would be:

Cheetah - as he runs away

Giraffe - as he has so much ego.

Donkey and Rat, latter as he’s always hiding, former presumably not in need of an explanation.

‘They will not get my vote this year’: Birmingham focus group shows shift from Labour support

Previous Labour voters in Yardley discuss issues including cost of living, public services and the Iran war

Yeah I know. Theres approx 3cm difference.
Rayner called Sunak "pint sized", but I suppose thats fairly tame for her after "scum".
All part of Labour's nasty game to win power. Don't get me started on the attacks they launched on Sunak's wife!

I'm 5'3" so you would tower over me Fluffy. I'm small but mighty. 😂

Odd that one of the previous Labour voters who took part in the focus group has only recently realised that they're in power. You'd think they would know if they voted Labour.

Yes very harsh on giraffes - and rats.

So
..Russia is eyeing up our cables.
After this middle east effort I do wonder whether Russia would bother with us. I guess sticking us would be very symbolic but for them wouldn't really gain them any advantage ?

I've just seen Healy at a preser saying...we see you Putin

You may think we are distracted but we arnt we see you 🙄.

TheNuthatch · 09/04/2026 15:02

@NoWordForFluffy

The caption is funny.
Tonight Matthew, I'm going to pretend to be an international statesman, responsible for peace in The Middle East. 😂

It was so weak and insipid.

Eastern I've pmd you re another thread

TheNuthatch · 09/04/2026 15:06

I didn't see the presser. I hope at least one of the journos asked Healy why we just watched and then let them on their way.

Yes, just realised too late to edit that the picture needs maximising to get the full effect! Bloody MN!

Christ. 'My plans are working well...' on repeat. 🙄 Maybe ask businesses how well they're doing with the increase in NI and NMW, then reassess!

I'm still convinced that is part of the plan! Socialists and communists. Very worrying.

The actual talks are just Iran and US aren’t they?

Starmer is doing other stuff to get in for political posturing to domestic audience.
