A chat thread for those who don't like this Labour government. 💙* *

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

Have Labour only just learned that the French don't actually want to stop the boats leaving France? 🙄

OP posts:

I’m not sure that Labour have yet learned anything so far. Even learning from just one of their multitude of mistakes would be a start. A start I don’t see coming.

Youth unemployment question to Labour. No bloody clue about what happens when unemployment goes up.

He’s been called tin eared by businesses. They’ve lost faith in Labour. Not a pro business gov, still he fucks about with excuses.

What’s the point of meeting the PM if he ignores businesses, it’s performative. What happens when people are fired? Totally blank.

StatuteofLiberty · 01/04/2026 07:44

@DameProfessorIDareSay I think that's an April fools but the scary thing is one doesn't know with this utter bunch of incompetents.

Surely this is their April Fool?!

ETA: @StatuteofLiberty got in there first!

DameProfessorIDareSay · 01/04/2026 08:00

Yes it is an April Fool, but must admit it took me a second to clock it this morning! It will give him bloody ideas though 😱

EasternStandard · 01/04/2026 08:04

Sadly the huge amount of extra costs hitting business is real. And Labour are still fools.

StatuteofLiberty · 01/04/2026 09:00

Oh yes and all the extras that reeves is making mean nasty business owners pay

Sounds like a Peter Kyle interview?
I rolled my eyes when I read about the meeting Starmer chaired. Can you imagine what the top business bosses actually think of him?

They are clueless. In fact, its worse than that. They're actively scuppering businesses at every opportunity.
We can only hope that the next govt has some properly thought-through, day one plans to inject some confidence and get the economy moving.

Exactly this.
It's actually fucking plausible that this shower would suggest cold tea and longer hair. You never know with Ed Milliband, who appears to be running the country atm!

Nope, that's all I can think of.

Oh, thought of another! He's also good at saying 'let me be clear' 😂

Reeves is still refusing to cut fuel duty, and also stated help with energy costs will be targeted at poorer households.

Tin-eared and arrogant as usual, so par for the course, but for the love of Cod when will she and the rest of the incompetents going to stop blaming their decisions on "what we inherited"? Tedious.

Yep.

I just listened to Starmer and media questions. What a load of crap he spouts. He just ignored all questions about what other countries are putting in place.
The press had clearly sent their B team which didn't help. One good question from a journo about the impacts on young people - housing, jobs, childcare, student fees etc. Starmer answered that the last govt had let them down, thats why Labour are building more houses. How can he say that Labour are building more houses? 🤯
Waffle, lies, waffle, lies, on and on.

It’s this that makes him the most hated PM. I can just hear those answers and lies.
