A chat thread for those who don't like this Labour government. 💙* *

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

Same old Labour take from the worker to give to the overbreeding shirker. Rage about tax evaders but when they do it it was an error or justified.

I see the Guardian’s reporting - quite even-handedly, I have to say - on the numbers that turned up for the circus of left-wing weirdos (aka “very important march”) in London yesterday.

The organisers say 500,000 turned up. The police say 50,000. I very much doubt the police are wrong, what with their helicopter and street cameras to help them assess numbers.

It did make me chuckle that the Grauniad said “Dozens of coaches had arrived from all over the country, including 10 from Manchester alone.”. Ooh! 10 coaches from Manchester! That’ll be a good slice of half-a-million. 🙄

These sorts of marches should be encouraged. They show the absolute clowns on the left for what they are. Takes me back to the ‘80s with all the dungaree-wearing posers shouting about nuclear free zones and the fascist Tories. If their modern day counterparts can eat into the Labour vote by opting for the Greens or for whatever Corbyn’s lot are now called, particularly in cities and university towns, we’ll see the back of Starmer nice and quickly.

redange · 29/03/2026 16:46

What makes me laugh is posters on here and media outlets if agreement, or respect for right wing policy is conveyed by a journalist . They, than are convinced that the 'BBC' and SKY are actually very pro Reform and Conservative... Especially Laura Kuenssberg who by not actively shouting down any policy from Reform or the Tories must be a paid right wing 'shrill'.

I have seen recent threads on here convinced that the mainstream media are are acting together to show this Government in a bad light. Therefore, deliberately ignoring any positive outcomes from the Governments actions such as school 'Breakfast Clubs'. This I find hilarious because I find the 1985 film the 'Breakfast Club' one of the best Movies made. This opposed to the Government's Breakfast Clubs which are not only built on an 'ideological' hatred of Independent schools, but an utter waste of resources on 'Shit' quality food !

Evening all

It's still light at 7.30pm 😁😎

Leafleting went really well today. It was raining, so we didn't get any grief as there was nobody around. 24K steps and I feel like I've done my bit to help.

Really not leafleting weather was it? Did you also have 40mph+ winds like us? I'm glad it was done without hassle though, that's always good.

I'm very glad Purdah has started. I'm sick of listening to Labour spout nonsense!

Bit of a difference between 500K and 50K. Muppets. I trust the police numbers too, as they had to staff it.
I wish they'd all just chip in and buy an island or something. Or move to Cuba and live the lefty dream.

No, not too windy when I was out thank goodness. It is now though.

Yes to the beginning of Purdah. What a relief what Labour pipe down for a bit.

Yes very true.
The press don't report good things, because there aren't any.
Its like they think Labour should get special media treatment because they don't get a turn very often. 🙄

A stopped clock is right twice a day. Tony Blair is spot on with this piece.

I can't fathom that people don't know the difference between the Israeli state and the Jewish people living in the UK and around the world.

CruCru · 29/03/2026 21:09

I’m being stupid - what is Purdah?

Oh I think they do know the difference between the govt of Israel and jewish people, but its used as a convenient excuse for jew hate.

It’s madness. He’s right on this. I just saw images of people waving terrorist flags, these are alongside rainbow ones outside Hamleys.

Not sure why the former aren’t arrested.

Also that beautiful image of two Iranian women happy just before the IRGC got in in 1979. The reality was, well we’re seeing it.

I loathe Blair with a passion, but can't argue with this.

This is rather brilliant:

Text for those not on X:

"Hello Emily, what's this ".
"Well Miss Phillipson, despite me only being six years old I decided to do a deep dive into the Morgan McSweeney stolen phone fiasco".

"OK Emily, we'll leave it there".
"Anyway, I was VERY suspicious right from the start because Mr Starmer, You, Mr Reed and all the other people who came on the telly and were asked about it all gave different dates for when it went missing and......".

"Stop Emily, that's enough".
"....and these dates varied by nearly a year, which is mental. And then you all gave differing accounts of what actually happened on the date you individually claimed to be the day of the theft. From my perspective as a mere six year old child this all seemed to be a bit whiffy, like when my puppy does a poo on the carpet, so I....".

"THATS ENOUGH ".
"....so I dug a bit deeper. Mr McSweeney gave what can only be considered to be scant details of the alleged theft when he reported it to the Police. It seems he didn't even know the location of the incident despite actually being there at the time. Now, I may only be in year 2 but I'd certainly know where I was if someone came up to me in the street and stole my ice cream so....".

"Emily... bloody SHUT UP".
"....so I've absolutely no idea how he didn't know where he was when his phone was snatched out of his hand. And then we move on to the "lost data". Now, Miss Phillipson as you know.....".

"Now listen here you little shit, I've heard enough of this bollocks. Can someone take her away please"?
"I'll continue. As you know Miss Phillipson, if someone takes your phone and won't give it back, or if it's damaged or stolen you can get a new one. It happened to my Daddy at work. He dropped his phone off some scaffolding and it wouldn't work. So THE NEXT DAY he got a new one and carried on as normal. He even had all the messages on it from my Mummy telling him she thought Mr Starmer was a twat, Lammy is thick as mince, Reeves couldn't run a burger van and you couldn't be trusted as far as anyone could throw you. It was all still there".

(Miss Phillipson walks off).

"But Miss Phillipson, I haven't mentioned how I believe this could all jeopardise your digital ID ambitions".

"Piss off Emily, I'm not interested".
"Can you or Mr Starmer tell us why we should put absolutely everything about ourselves onto our mobile phone for our "convenience" if all the data completely disappears when someone steals the phone, just like it did with Mr McSweeneys phone? Don't you think that's a bit silly"?

(Miss Phillipson has left the playground).

It's fantastic! Shows it up for the likely bollocks it is.

Just had the Greens here, they were nice enough. The thing that Blair raises below is concerning but hard to raise directly. Talked about other stuff.

justasking111 · 30/03/2026 17:41

Only one in 4 it's more like three in four in Wales. The GP will refer but your case gets looked at by managers thus your MRI becomes physio one session a sheet of illustrations and see you in six months.

Pacificsunshine · 30/03/2026 18:32

They claim Reform will end the NHS! This is how it ends. It will only be for poor people like Medicaid in America.

Funny how they are happy to push people into private medical care, but they want control of all those young minds….

All parties quietly agreed some time ago that the NHS was unsustainable and private healthcare insurance the way forward for the employed with the employer sharing the cost.

Interesting

I would be straight in with "antisemitism, misogyny, dubious links to extremists... here's your right to reply..."

I'm guessing they would just politely move on. I thought I wasn't likely to encounter a Green candidate round here, but I looked it up and it seems I might....😱
