Can I just check that everyone puts their knickers on first?

Reading a novel, someone puts their bra on, then their knickers. This is so obviously wrong I'm not sure I can read any more. If they get this so wrong, then nothing in the novel is to be trusted! Nobody ever in the history of the universe has put on their bra before their knickers, surely?

Oh my word! You killed me. I live how you guessed the book from that scene. I am now going to go seek the book out because it must have something about it if it can generate a whole thread from a scene about clothing order.

Back to the objective, from what I've read, I'm a monster who is unable to dress, brush teeth and apply skincare in the correct order. Not that my order is massively fixed, there's room for variation. I'll tell you what is fixed though... Brushing teeth, applying antipersperant, and applying body spray comes in between different skincare product applications.

I havent laughed so.much or been befuddled by routines in a long time. Happy Monday!

I know this isn't the objective, but are you reading A Family Matter by Claire Lynch and can I persuade you to turn this thread into a book club 🤣

Knickers first, then bra on backwards and spin it round and put arms through the straps. This is the only acceptable way to put a bra on.

I used to do this when I first started wearing bras, but then learned how to fasten them behind my back.

I agree! I appreciate that some people including those with movement difficulties might have difficulties but l was puzzled by the statement “This is the only acceptable way to put a bra on”. Why?

Well, thank you for those who explained circumstances in which one might not wear knickers. I have learned something today. Still a little bit ewww, but less so :-)

Try it in the summer, just once!

Advanced search is helpful but that poster is known here and on other sites to be a bloke pretending to be a woman. 🤮 All the talk of knickers, not wearing knickers, cutting their lawn topless etc and he slipped up once about his sex on a thread on the sex board that was deleted. 🤢

Which poster are you referring to?

@TheCatOnTheRoboVac was referring to me but out of context.

This is my MN last hurrah!

No, I am not a man pretending to be a woman. Interestingly in the past on MN I have been told I have a shitty attitude to men and been called a man hater. You can’t win them all. My late mum was a feminist and would have been proud of me.

I have been on MN over 9 years and contributed to a wide range of threads including those on heavy periods, mooncups, the importance of female only spaces, gardening, parenting, womens’ equality and other womens' issues, beauty products, travel, French culture (I was UK born but brought up in France) and, in within certain areas where I am qualified to comment, offered basic legal advice. Yes, I have commented on the sex section but I do not believe men have an exclusive when it comes to sex. I’ve received lots of thanks for my posts over the years plus regularly calling out misogyny and reporting posts that do not meet guidelines.

Yes, I did say in a post I’ve mowed the lawn topless but that was a fairly insignificant comment within the context of a thread. Likewise, where I can, I go topless on the beach. Neither are illegal. You would have thought posters on a site where the name begins with “mum’ would not suggest that there should be more restrictive standards for women than men.

In closing, thanks to those who have supported me over the years and thanks to MNHQ for quickly responding and deleting posts where I have reported them.

Adios MN.
