Can I just check that everyone puts their knickers on first?

Reading a novel, someone puts their bra on, then their knickers. This is so obviously wrong I'm not sure I can read any more. If they get this so wrong, then nothing in the novel is to be trusted! Nobody ever in the history of the universe has put on their bra before their knickers, surely?

Usually knickers first, but if i am really cold i might put on my bra first so I can put on a warm top.

Knickers first, then a matching bra. I couldn't wear a black bra with white knickers - that's even wronger than bra first.

Boobs don't like gravity without support.
Vulvas are self contained and don't have that issue.

Also, if you get dressed sitting on the bed after a shower, then it's much easier to do top half first, then bottom half (get feet/lower legs in all of it), then stand up and adjust everything into place.

Yes, I am in the negative A cup category and put my knickers on first, followed by bra.

I half put my knickers on. Half my leggings. Then my bra. Then my top/dress. Then finish my knickers and leggings.

Hear me out. I'm a little disabled. So I sit on the edge of the bed, pull Knicks and leggings up to my knees. Sort the top half. Then quick stand to pull them the rest of the way up.

So many heathens on here! Obviously it's always knickers first, then deodorant and rest of bottom half while that dries off, then bra and top half. And I'm a DD so there goes that theory 😅

This thread is part of a pattern, and the more of them there are, the more pervs come. And then they start their own threads. There have been a lot of problems with this.

That's why I disapprove of this thread and any other that aims to get women talking about their peeing habits or private parts or nakedness. Not everyone reading or writing on here is the MN target audience of nice, normal, regular women, and I think everyone should keep that in mind.

I’d never thought about the order I dress until this very day, but I definitely do it in the same order every time. Knickers, then bra, then bottoms, then top, then socks. I think I’d feel all wrong doing it any other way

Socks first, then pull knickers up to my knees while still sat on the bed, trousers up to knees, then put on shoes, stand up and pull up.

Then bra and top, and finally I brush my hair. Full bottom to top.

This one reads absolutely nothing like a fetish thread. It doesn’t have any of the hallmarks of one. If it was someone with a lingerie kink they wouldn’t be asking what order people dress in, they’d be asking much more detailed stuff about underwear styles and how they feel etc, and asking a lot of follow up questions.

There are always going to be threads about women’s health, women’s clothes and women’s bodies on Mumsnet, because it’s a women’s forum. There are few other outlets in most women‘s lives for them to discuss things like discomfort during their periods and so on with a representative audience.

If you don’t want to join in with those threads, simply don’t.

It’s quite chilly now, but in the warm weather it’s often bra, long summer dress, no knickers 🤫.

I’m going to spend the day wondering how many women try putting their clothes on in a different order today and feel discombobulated all day as a result.
I’m pants first 90% of the time. Not if I’m changing in or out of a swimsuit and a few other situations. I think it’s probably due mainly to the fact that, despite it being almost 40 years since I got
my first bra, I’d been putting my knickers on first for 11 or so years before that so already did that automatically as the first thing.

I also learned recently that there are people who DON'T have a side of the bed they just mix it up. Who the hell does that?!!

One’s modesty? If l’m happy for someone to see me in my knickers then l’m happy for them to see me without my knickers.

Usually knickers first but sometimes I may grab a bra before the knickers and put that on first..always feels a bit wrong though. NEVER socks first though 😮
